Great Britain recorded victory on the final day of action in EuroBasket Group F. They held off Croatia but still could not make it into the quarterfinals. The victory of Serbia over Czech Republic earlier in the day left Great Britain in the fifth position in the ladder. Croatia remained at the bottom of the standings after the loss. Johannah Leedham (180-SF-87, college: Franklin Pierce) came up with impressive 26 points, 10 assists and 9 rebounds to pace the winners.
Great Britain overcame a 5-point deficit midway through the opening quarter to post a 19:13 lead at the end of the starting ten minutes. Kimberly Butler (186-PF-82, college: Oregon St.) opened the second frame with five straight points to boost the lead. Soon Azania Stewart (195-C-89, college: Florida) gave Great Britain a 12-point lead 28:16. They held Croatia at 10-point distance at halftime 44:34. Great Britain maintained the lead throughout the third period. They accumulated a 64:54 lead heading into the fourth stanza. However Croatia ignited an 8:1 run to narrow the gap at 2-point mark 67:69 midway through the final term. Johannah Leedham and Kimberly Butler stopped the bleeding with four points as Great Britain regained control. Johannah Leedham opened a 7-point lead within the final minute of regulation and they marched to the victory at the end. Kimberly Butler finished with 17 points and 6 boards, while Azania Stewart added 9 points for Great Britain. Ana Lelas (183-G/F-83) responded with 17 points, 15 boards and 5 assists for Croatia. Jelena Ivezic (182-F/G-84) and Iva Sliskovic (190-C-84, college: S.Carolina) delivered 14 points each in the loss.

Anja Majstorovic(184-SF-94) will continue her career in Spain with CD Zamarat. She signed a one-year deal. Majstorovic spent all of her recent pro career playing for Medvescak, with whom she won four Championship and three Cup titles. She averaged 17.4 points, 5.9 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.6 steals in 23 Croatian A1 League games last season. After a year in France, Mia Masic(180-F-93) has returned to Italy to play for Serie A2 side Selargius in the 2017-18 season. Masic spent last season with Al Aplemont Le Havre, where she averaged 9.9 points per game in Nationale 1 League (third tier). Prva liga side Istrauni added size and experience to their roster by signing Ivan Krolo(217-C-83) for the upcoming season.
