Dario Saric
KK CIBONA - KK JOLLY JB 76:78

Tough match was played in capital of Croatia. It was time to see some of the most talented players in Croatia. We could see two great youngsters in starting lineups on both sides, Dario Saric (208-F/C-94, agency: XL Basketball Agency) on home side and Tomislav Gabric (201-F-95, agency: XL Basketball Agency) on guest side. The real stars of first quarter were experienced players-Ronald Ross (188-G-83, agency: LUMANI 10.7, college: Texas Tech) (10 pts in 1st qt) and Andrija Zizic (207-C-80, agency: Beo Basket) (8 pts in 1st quarter) who carried their teams in first ten minutes. Jolly's double team on Saric was great which led to three turnovers in first three minutes by one of the most talented European players. He reedemed his first bad quarter in first few minutes of the second where he scored six consecutive points. Zizic was real enigma for guest team, but the real hit was Velic's tactic with 2-3 zone which forced Cibona's backcourt for more shots. Cibona led most time of match, but Jolly answered well and took their lead in 35th minute of the game (68:69). After that, Gabric scored two consecutive threes, but Cibona player-Davor Kus (192-G-78, agency: Interperformances) answered with one. The result was tied (75:75) at the entrance of the last minute. Thanks to Luka Katura (194-G-89) offensive rebound, Jolly had two shot-clocks and Ross draw a foul 22 seconds left to the end. He made both free throws and aric took the ball. Denis Vrsaljko (212-C-82) fouled him, but youngster scored only first and missed second free throw. Zizic instantly made a foul on Bubalo who also made first and missed second for two point Jolly lead (76:78) which was final score. Jerel Blassingame (175-PG-81, college: UNLV) took defensive rebound but Katura stole his ball and Jolly took important road game.

It was great performance by visitors who showed Cibona what is a great team game where each of first five players had "their time" of the game. With this win, Jolly secured their play-off spot and Cibona will now have to win two tough games for first spot-tough road game against Split and game in last round against their city rivals, Cedevita.

Dario Saric was impressive with 19pts (2pt 7/7, FT 5/9), 15 rebounds, 2 assist, 2 block, 9 fouls forced, but 7 turnovers. Zizic had 18 points and D.J. Strawbery finished with 14 points and 7 rebounds.

All five players of Jolly's starting lineup finished the game in double figures. Ross led the team with 18pts (9 rbs, 4 ast, 4 stl), Petkovic 14, Katura 13 (3P 3/5), Bubalo 11 and Gabric 10 (3P 3/7) points.

With this win,Jolly secured their final four spot and Cibona will play for first spot in last round against their city rivals-KK Cedevita.
