Spain wins the second game at Torneo de Benahavis. The home side of the campaign overcame Croatia 76:55 and took 2-0 record. Croatia meanwhile fell at 1-1 record and will face Netherlands tomorrow, while Spain will take on Turkey.
Both teams entered the openers of the tournament. Spain opened the game with 20-10 run and the posted a massive 21-8 surge in the second quarter. Croatia started to play better in the second half and as a result won the last period. At first Spain posted a 22-21 rally in the third quarter, while Croatia finished the game with 16-13 rally.
Amaya Valdemoro (183-F-76, agency: Josep and Nicolas) and Alba Torrens (188-F-89) stepped up with 13 points each, while Laura Gil (190-C-92, agency: Josep and Nicolas) posted 11. Rodriguez netted 9 and Queralt Casas (178-G/F-92) delivered 8. Jelena Ivezic (182-F/G-84) finished the game with 17 points in defeat and Emanuela Salopek (178-SG-87, agency: Regeneracom Sports) brought 10. Iva Sliskovic (190-C-84, college: S.Carolina) nailed 8, whilst Ana Lelas (183-G/F-83) ended up with 7.
