With Kakiouzis having 11 points and 16 rebounds (4 offensive) Aek rolled to its second win over Apoel advancing the series to 2-1. Tutt scored 13 points and Panteli added another 11. Fisher had 2 in 10 attempts.

In the loosing squad Davis finished with 30. Wells grabbed 12 rebounds but had 5 turnovers and had only 4 in 12 attempts. Mokongo had 2 in 10 attempts.

Foul trouble
Aek's strategy to disarm Apoel's big guy was obvious from the beginning. And it was indeed successful. Aek put Garcia in the starters and took the ball inside in an effort to force Chan to foul.

Apoel has indeed paid for the early foul trouble of Chan (had 3 fouls early in the game) as well as Morrison's 3rd foul before half time. With Chan and Morrison being disarmed Apoel was not as fruitful in the paint as in previous games. On the other hand Apoel was way improved from the perimeter compared to the previous game.

Rebounds were 49-36. Add to that that Aek grabbed 15 offensive rebounds.

Being more passionate and concentrated in the most part, Aek won the 1st three quarters with 21-20, 21-17 and 16-11 and took the lead up to 14 at some point. Apoel bounced back at the last quarter beating Aek 18-26 and almost stole the game.

The game finished 76-74.

Aek lost 22 free-trows after shooting a total of 54. Apoel lost 12.

The guests trailed by 11 points after first quarter, but they rallied back winning two of next three quarters and won the game by 9 points. AEK dominated on the defensive end, holding Apoel to just 5 points in fourth quarter.
