Kibirkstis-Tiche inks Natasha Denise Morris, ex Olympos - Mar 9, 2013

Kibirkstis-Tiche-IKI Vilnius (LMKL) agreed terms with 25-year old American swingman Natasha Denise Morris (173-88, college: St.Peter's). She played last season at Olympos in Cypriot A2 league. She helped them to make it to the semifinals. Morris also played at Altay Konak (TKB2L) in Turkish league that season. In 10 games she had very impressive stats: 15.5ppg, 8.0rpg, 2.7apg and 2.4spg.
Morris was voted 2011-2012 All-United States Awards (Voted by All USA Sports Reporters) 2nd Team in 2012.
The previous (2011) summer she played at Flint Monarchs in U.S. semi-pro league WBCBL. In 15 games she recorded 12.2ppg, 2.0rpg and 2.1apg. She contributed to her team winning the league title.
She graduated from St.Peter's College in 2011 and it is her second season as a professional player.
Morris could be described: Natasha is a talented ankle breaking combo guard that has the ability to create and score almost at will. What she is able to do off the dribble most teams will not be able to handle. She is a rhythm player that can light up the opposing team with an array of offensive moves and mid range shooting. If she plays the point guard position, has a fluid handle with the ball and sharp, crisp moves that demonstrate she can play with the best at any level. A highly skilled guard that can distribute, see the floor and take games over in the crunch. Normally the crowd favorite due to her style of play and no look passes to her teammates.

AEK Larnakas beat Keravnos Strovolou on the opening day - 2 days ago
The first derby of the season went to AEK Larnakas who showed (after the super cup triumph) who's going to be the boss this season in the Cyprus league. The final score 84-75 is totally fair as AEK Larnakas had a much better rotation that their opponents, since Coach Leivadiotis for another game this season preferred to go on a very short rotation with just seven players (Anthony King was absent) while the Cyprus Coach used Barker for 38!! Minutes, Parks for 32 and from then and on Abukar...   [read more]
