Finland U20-Cyprus U20 82:37

Finland edge Cyprus in Pitesti at the U20 European Championship in Division B. The Nordic team won over the opponents 82:37 to tie both records at 1-2.
Finland looked outstanding in the game and managed to post their first victory at the tournament. They started the game with 17-9 lead and added 20-7 rally in the second frame. Moreover Finland had 18-13 run in the third quarter and finished the game with 27-8 surge in the last stanza. Clement made the last shot for the winners in the game.
Joonas Caven (211-C/F-93) stepped up with 16 points and Joonas Lehtoranta (194-SG-94) netted 15. Tommi Huolila (198-PF-93) collected 13 points and 11 rebounds in defeat, whilst Topias Palmi (190-SG-94) brought 10. Marios Georgiou (185-SG-94) scored 8 points in the losing effort and Roberto Alexander Mantovani (200-F-94) had 7.

Petrolina AEK Larnaca (Division A) strengthened their roster with addition of 26-year old American point guard Tyreek Duren (183-86kg-91, college: La Salle). It is actually his comeback to Larnaca as he has played here before. Duren played most recently at Boulogne in French ProB. In 17 games he recorded 11.5ppg, 2.8rpg, 5.2apg and 1.6spg last season. AEK - APOEL 97:85 Petrolina AEK claimed the first victory at the Zivanario international friendly tournament. They beat their Cypriot rivals APOEL for 1-1 record. Junior Lomomba joins APOP Paphou - 14 hours ago
APOP Paphou (Division A) agreed terms with 24-year old Canadian guard Junior Lomomba (196-93kg-93). He just graduated from W.Kentucky (NCAA). In 32 games he had 6.1ppg, 2.3rpg and 3.4apg last season. As mentioned above Lomomba is just out of the college and it will be his first season as a pro.
