Czech Republic advanced into the title game at the European Youth Olympic Festival in Utrecht. They overcame Hungary in the semifinal clash. Petra Holesinska (167-G-97) chipped in 16 points to pace the winners.
Czech Republic gained a 19:12 lead after ten minutes of action. They dominated throughout the second period. The Czech team accumulated a 35:21 halftime lead. They quickly stretched the gap at 18-point mark midway through the third term. Czech Republic entered the fourth period up by 20 points 54:34. Hungary capped the regulation on a massive 17:4 run but could not avoid the loss at the end. Michaela Matuskova (166-G-97) and Michaela Gaislerova (179-F-97) banked 9 points each for the winning side. Debora Dubei (181-SF-97) and Dominika Borondy (165-G-97) had 12 points each for Hungary.

The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Praha: USK Praha (#1) and BLK Praha (#4).
