Tweety
Carter
American point guard Tweety Carter (180-PG-86) had a very impressive game in the last round for top-ranked CEZ Nymburk, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 5 (Second Stage).
The 26-year old player was the main contributor (34 points, two rebounds and two assists) to his team's victory, helping them to beat BK Pardubice (#4, 18-12) 84-75. It allowed CEZ Nymburk to consolidate first place in the Czech Republic NBL. CEZ Nymburk has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 28-1. In the team's last game Carter had a remarkable 85.7% from 2-point range and got five three-pointers out of 10 attempts. It was one of impressive evenings for him as usually he does not deliver so high stats. Former Baylor University star has very solid stats this year. Carter is in league's top in assists (6th best: 4.5apg) and averages impressive 54.5% FGP and 44.4% from behind 3-point line.

The second best player in last round's games was 25-year old American Showron Glover (180-PG-87) of Chomutov. Glover had a very good evening with 32 points and 7 assists. Bad luck as Chomutov lost that game 103-111 to the lower-ranked J.Hradec (#1, 10-24). Despite lost game Chomutov moved up to -2th position in A2. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 12-22 record. Glover is a newcomer at Chomutov, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American guard Brandon Fields (193-G-88) of Levice (#-5). Fields got into 30-points club by scoring 31 points in the last round. He went also for four assists. He was a key player of Levice, leading his team to a 93-74 easy win against #0 ranked Svitavy in a game of the week. Levice needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams in A2. Their record at this point is 19 victories and 15 lost games. Fields has a great season in Czech Republic. After 20 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 17.0ppg (6th best) and rebounds with 3.9rpg (#1 in league).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Jiri Jelinek (203-F-87) of Svitavy - 24 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists
5. Thaddeus McFadden (188-G-87) of Usti n/Labem - 35 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists
6. Kamil Svrdlik (206-PF-86) of BK Prostejov - 17 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists
7. Jan Tomanec (205-C-85) of J.Hradec - 19 points and 8 rebounds
8. Ladislav Pecka (197-F-91) of Chomutov - 27 points and 5 rebounds
9. Pawel Mroz (215-C-84) of Svitavy - 21 points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists
10. Brandon Fields (193-G-88) of Levice - 20 points, 10 rebounds and 2 assists

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
