Petr Benda
Petr Benda is confirmed for EuroBasket 2013 in Czech Republic Roster. It seemed improbable he would overcome a problem that had dogged him since the mid-point of last club, but produced miraculous results.
Petr Benda played last season at CEZ Basketball Nymburk in Czech Republic. Benda managed to play in four leagues last year (!!!). In 38 NBL games he had 9.5ppg and 3.8rpg. He helped them to win the league title and the cup. Benda also played 2 games in Euroleague where he recorded 10.0ppg, 3.5rpg and 1.5bpg. He also played 10 games in Eurocup where he recorded 12.7ppg and 3.5rpg. And finally Benda contributed to 16 games in VTB United League where he recorded 8.6ppg and 5.4rpg.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as he was voted Eurobasket.com All-Czech Rep. League 2nd Team in 2004,2010,2011 and 2012. Benda represented Czech Republic at the Qualifications to European Championships 2013 last year. His stats at that event were 8 games: 12.5ppg, 6.5rpg, 1.9apg, FGP: 54.9%, FT: 71.4%.
Benda has played also professionally for other Czech Republic teams like JBC Brno and Vysocina.
