Here is the weekly review of the top performing Czech Republic players, who play currently abroad.

   #1. This week's number one is an international center Kamila Stepanova (191-88, currently plays in France), who plays in the French LFB. She could not help Basket Landes (11-10) to beat Bourges (17-4). Stepanova scored 6 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. Basket Landes was defeated 70-58 on the road by the second-ranked Bourges. This season Stepanova averages: 5.4ppg, 3.2rpg, 2FGP: 42.7%, 3FGP: 26.1% and FT: 87.5%. She is currently a member of the Czech Republic senior national team.

   #2. Second place goes to former international center Martina Rejchova (195-83, currently plays in Italy), who plays in the Italian A2 (12th division). Rejchova was not able to help Viterbo (5-16) in their last game. Despite her very good performance the 11th-placed Viterbo was crushed 69-42 at home by the much higher-ranked (#3) Napoli S.Dike in the South group. Rejchova had a double-double by scoring 18 points and getting 11 rebounds. She also added and 3 steals in 33 minutes. It was Viterbo's eighth consecutive loss in a row. There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Rejchova is currently third on the league's list of best rebounders with 10.0rpg. This year her other stats are: 13.7ppg, 1.9spg, 2FGP: 46.5% and FT: 79.2% in the 20 games she played so far. Rejchova played for the Czech Republic national team in 2009.

   #3. The Czech Republic player who performed third best last week abroad was an international small forward Katerina Zohnova (179-84, currently plays in Italy). Zohnova was not able to secure a victory for Umbertide (8-8) in their game against C.U.S. Chieti (5-12) in the Italian A1. She scored 6 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in 30 minutes. Umbertide was edged 63-61 in Chieti by the lower-ranked (#7) C.U.S.. It was Umbertide's fourth consecutive loss in a row. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. It's Zohnova's first season with the team. This year Zohnova's overall stats are: 5.8ppg, 2.9rpg, 2FGP: 34.4%, 3FGP: 35.3% and FT: 81.3% in the 16 games. She is also a member of the Czech Republic senior national team.

   #4. Point guard Katerina Bartonova (174-90, currently plays in Spain) managed to help Cadi ICG Software in a victory against one of league's weakest teams Hondarribia-Irun (5-13) 62-57 in the Spanish LFB on Saturday night. She recorded only 2 points in 17 minutes. Cadi ICG Software (9-8) is placed fourth in the LFB. There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. This year Bartonova's total stats are: 5.2ppg, 2.9rpg, 1.9apg and 1.2spg in the 17 games. She is also Czech Republic national team player.

   #5. Former international power forward Petra Manakova (195-82, college: Oakland, currently plays in Luxembourg), who plays in the Luxembourg Diekirch League couldn't help Amicale (15-8) in their last game on Saturday. Despite Manakova's very good performance Amicale (#2) was defeated 94-81 in Dudelange by the lower-ranked T71 Dudelange (#5) in the Places 1-6 group. She was the second best scorer with 15 points. Manakova also added 4 rebounds. Manakova is the league's best blocker. She has individually a very good season with high stats. Manakova averages: 17.3ppg, 6.3rpg, 2.3apg and 1.8spg. She used to play for the Czech Republic national team four years ago.


The list of other players, who all have Czech Republic passport but never been selected to any of Czech Republic national teams:

   #1. Cecilia Lineira (180-G-86, currently plays in Spain) led Orion-GDKO to an easy victory against the tenth-ranked Leganes (6-12) 77-60 in the Spanish LF2 (12th division) in Saturday night's game. She had a double-double by scoring 13 points and getting 21 rebounds. Lineira also added 6 assists in 37 minutes. Orion-GDKO Ibaizabal Galdakao (11-7) is placed fourth in Group B. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. It's Lineira's first season with the team. She has relatively good stats this year: 13.7ppg, 9.4rpg, 2.7apg and 1.7spg in the 18 games she played so far. Lineira has a dual citizenship: Argentinian and Czech Republic.

   #2. Experienced Leona Jankowska (190-C-77, currently plays in Poland), who plays in the Polish PLKK could not help Widzew (3-15) in their last game on Saturday. Despite her good performance Widzew was crushed 82-30 on the road by the leading CCC Polkowice. Jankowska was the top scorer with 13 points. She also added 7 rebounds. Jankowska is currently ninth on the list of top scorers. She has very reliable stats this season: 14.4ppg, 6.9rpg, 1.3apg and 1.7spg.

   #3. Gabriela Jandova (190-C-73, currently plays in Germany) led ASC Theresianum Mainz to an easy victory against the tenth-ranked Hagen Phoenix (5-14) 82-64 in the German 2.Bundesliga (12th division) on Saturday night. Jandova recorded a double-double by scoring 12 points and getting 10 rebounds. She also added 3 assists. ASC Theresianum Mainz (12-7) is placed third in North group. It was her team's third consecutive victory in a row. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. Jandova is one of the most experienced players in a team as it's her ninth year in ASC Theresianum Mainz's roster. Jandova has individually a very good season with high stats. She averages: 16.2ppg, 8.1rpg, 1.3apg, 1.1bpg and 1.5spg.

   #4. Tereza Brantlova (172-G-82, currently plays in Romania) was not able to help Alba Iulia (15-7) in their game against CSM Targoviste (21-1) in the Romanian Liga Nationala. Brantlova recorded 8 points and added 3 assists in 21 minutes. Alba Iulia lost 66-77 at home to the leading CSM Targoviste. It was Alba Iulia's first loss after three consecutive victories. This year Brantlova's total stats are: 7.2ppg, 2.1rpg and 1.7apg in the 20 games.

   #5. Katarina Flasarova (171-G-85, currently plays in Germany) was not able to secure a victory for Herner TC (6-13) in their game against Don Bosco Bamberg in the German DBBL. Despite her good performance last Saturday She was the second best scorer with 12 points. Flasarova also added 4 steals. There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. Flasarova's total stats this season are: 8.4ppg, 1.6rpg and 1.4apg.

Limoges ABC en Limousin (LF2) strengthened their roster with addition of 25-year old American center Alison Bouman (193-92, college: Davenport). She played last season at Loko Trutnov in ZBL league in Czech Republic. In 20 games she recorded 6.6ppg, 9.5rpg (leader !!!) and 1.1apg. Her team made it to the Czech Republic Final Four. SBS Ostrava inks Emily Spector - 10 days ago
SBS Ostrava (ZBL) agreed terms with American forward Emily Spector (178). She has only college experience while playing for Texas Woman's (NCAA2). Spector won Southland Conference Tournament in 2014. As mentioned above she is just out of college, so it will be Spector's first season as a professional player.
