25-year old forward Tereza Peckova (189-F-87) had a great game in the last round for second-ranked IMOS Brno and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 4 (Second Stage). She had the game-high 31 points adding seven rebounds and two assists for IMOS Brno in her team's victory, helping them to beat Hradec Kralove (#3, 18-8) 82-70. IMOS Brno maintains the 2nd position in Czech Republic ZBL. They are still close to the very top. IMOS Brno would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 21-5 record. In the team's last game Peckova had a remarkable 76.9% from 2-point range. It's her second year at IMOS Brno and it's hard to imagine this team without her. Tereza Peckova averages this season 13.2ppg and 6.4rpg.
Second best performed player last round was Rebekkah Brunson (191-F/C-81, agency: LBM Management) of top-ranked USK Praha. She is American forward in her first season at USK Praha. In the last game Brunson recorded impressive 21 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists. Of course she lead USK Praha to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Trutnov (#4, 14-12) 89-64. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the top position in A1. USK Praha consolidated its place in the very top position of the standings. Her team belongs to top of the standings with 25-1 record and is considered one of the main candidates for the league title. Brunson is a newcomer at USK Praha and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 14.7ppg (#9). She also registered 7.7 boards per game.
Third place about best performers goes to center Linda Tesarikova (178-C-78) of Slovanka MB (#0). Tesarikova scored 21 points and grabbed thirteen rebounds (!!!). Despite Tesarikova's great performance Slovanka MB lost 71-79 to #-2 ranked VSE Praha. But her team cannot count on just a single player as she also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The chances of Slovanka MB not to end season at such low position in A2, however are less than slim as they have already lost 18 games, recording just eight victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Tesarikova could try to bring Slovanka MB's a little bit higher in the standings. Tesarikova has a very solid season. In 26 games in Czech Republic she scored 12.6ppg.
