Patrick Pope
31-year old guard Patrick Pope (183-G-81) put on an amazing game in the last round for BK Decin and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 2 (Second Stage).
He had the game-high 26 points adding four rebounds and six assists for BK Decin in his team's victory, helping them to beat BC Kolin (#6, 14-11) 96-91. BK Decin is placed at 4th position in Czech Republic league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier in Second Stage. BK Decin will need more victories to improve their 15-11 record. In the team's last game Pope had a remarkable four three-pointers out of 8 attempts. He turned to be BK Decin's top player in his first season with the team. Saint Augustine's College graduate has very impressive stats this year. Pope is in league's top in assists (6th best: 4.0apg).

Second best performed player last round was Corey Muirhead (197-F-83) of BK Pardubice. He is Canadian-Jamaican forward in his second season at BK Pardubice. In the last game Muirhead recorded impressive double-double of 26 points and 10 rebounds. Bad luck as BK Pardubice lost that game 86-99 to BK Prostejov (16-10). The Second Stage is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Muirhead is well-known at BK Pardubice and he already established his position as one of the team's leaders.

Third place about best performers goes to forward John Fields (205-F-88) of Chomutov (#-4). Fields scored 16 points and grabbed eleven rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Chomutov, leading his team to a 91-84 win against #-2 ranked B&W Opava in a game of the week. The chances of Chomutov not to end season at such low position in A2, however are less than slim as they have already lost 17 games, recording just ten victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Fields could try to bring Chomutov's a little bit higher in the standings. Fields has individually a great season in Czech Republic. After 19 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 17.3ppg (6th best) and rebounds with 10.2rpg (#1 in league).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Ondrej Kohout (204-F-91) of BK Prostejov - 14 points, 15 rebounds and 3 assists
5. Jan Tomanec (205-C-85) of J.Hradec - 27 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists
6. Brad Reese (199-F-88) of Usti n/Labem - 21 points and 12 rebounds
7. Miroslav Soukup (200-F-82) of BK Decin - 17 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists
8. Demarius Bolds (190-G-84) of BC Kolin - 29 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists
9. Radoslav Rancik (207-F/C-79) of CEZ Nymburk - 17 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists
10. Curtis Allen (193-G-86) of Chomutov - 15 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
