Lemvig surged ahead in the quarterfinal series versus Aabyhoj. The game without a history. Lemvig led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Aabyhoj's 22. Lemvig forced 24 Aabyhoj turnovers. American forward Emily Hatch (185-89, college: San Diego) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and Austrian power forward Sarah Schicher (188-90, college: Dowling) chipped in 16 points and 9 rebounds. Four Lemvig players scored in double figures. At the losing side guard Maria Jespersen (182-94) responded with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists and American center Kelly Meredith (182, college: Assumption) scored 12 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.

SISU left no chance for Horsens in the series opener. The game without a history. SISU led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Horsens to just 4 points in second quarter and to 12 points in first half. SISU dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Horsens' 18. SISU forced 44 Horsens turnovers and outrebounded them 38-25 including a 15-2 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Horsens' players. American center Marie Malone (191-89, college: Hofstra) stepped up and scored 13 points and 8 rebounds for the winners and forward Tea Jorgensen (177-87) chipped in 13 points and 4 assists. Four SISU players scored in double figures. SISU's coach Hrannar Holm felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side forward Sophie Wich (178) responded with 8 points and forward Emily White (186-92) scored 6 points and 7 rebounds.

Horsholm - Vaerlose 69-74

Vaerlose stole home advantage from Horsholm beating those on the road in the opening game. Horsholm trailed by 16 points after 3 quarters before a 26-15 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 69-74 at the end of the game. Vaerlose made 20-of-24 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game. Vaerlose outrebounded Horsholm 43-28 including 17 on the offensive glass. Canadian center Janet Hatfield (190-85) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 17 rebounds for the winners and American guard Alexandra Chili (180, college: Muhlenberg) chipped in 21 points. Four Vaerlose players scored in double figures. Vaerlose's coach Jesper Johansen used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side guard Anne Kristensen (172-87) responded with 12 points and swingman Therese Deemand (175-83, college: Binghamton) scored 10 points and 6 rebounds.

Falcon - Amager 88-83 OT

Falcon needed overtime to tame Amager in the first game of the series. The hosts trailed by 8 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 6-point lead at the halftime then Amager managed to tie the game at the end of regular time. However that was Falcon who were better in overtime eventually winning that period 16-11. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Amager's 38. They outrebounded Amager 46-33 including a 18-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Falcon looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American center Trenice Fuller (193-87, college: Hofstra) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 26 points, 16 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 blocks for the winners and guard Elisabeth Hansen (176-93) chipped in 18 points and 4 steals. Falcon's coach Ole Vincents used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side point guard Ida Klussmann (169-93) responded with 17 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and swingman Catharina Jensen (183-89) scored 15 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Five Amager players scored in double figures.

Universidad de Oviedo (LF2) signed 25-year old Danish swingman Anne Pedersen (185-92, college: LSU). She played last season at Sevenoaks Suns in British WBBL. In 21 games she had very impressive stats: 15.3ppg, 7.8rpg and 1.7apg. Pedersen won English WBBL championship title. She was voted Eurobasket.com All-English WBBL 1st Team in 2017. Cashin inks at Vaerlose at the beginning of her pro career - 21 days ago
Dameligaen newcomer Vaerlose BBK strengthened their roster with addition of American forward Paige Cashin (193). Cashin just graduated from S.Florida (NCAA). She has played there for the last four years. But in 13 games she recorded only 1.1ppg last season. Cashin helped them to make it to the final. Horsholm 79ers (Dameligaen) strengthened their roster with addition of 25-year old Danish guard Gritt Ryder (178-92). It is actually her comeback to Horsholm as she has played here before. just graduated from Colorado State University (NCAA).
