Swedish U20 National Team played two exhibition encounters with their Estonian counterparts. The Scandinavian team claimed back-to-back victories in Solna.
The first game ended with Sweden beating their opponents 62:46. Josefin Vesterberg (187-F/C-93) provided 13 points to lead the charge. Sweden led by just a single point 14:13 at the first break but they went on a decisive 21:7 rally in the second term to clear off to a 15-point distance. Estonia tried to come back into the game. They cut the deficit at 9-point mark at the final break but Sweden finished them off with a 17:10 run in the fourth term. Isabelle Edholm (177-G-93) chipped in 12 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for the winners. Birgit Piibur (162-PG-94) knocked down 14 points for Estonia. Rosemary Rits (180-F-92) had 10 points in the loss.
Sweden started strong the next game. They ran away to a 10-point lead at the first intermission 23:13. Estonia narrowed the gap in the second frame. They got within 7 points at the interval 36:29. But Sweden went on a 17:10 rally in the third term to pile up a 14-point lead into the fourth period. Estonia tried hard to erase it in the fourth quarter but had to surrender at the end 58:67. Allis Nystrom (184-F-93) and Evelina Estola (179-PG-93) accounted for 9 points each for Sweden. Mailis Pokk (185-F/C-92) topscored with 22 points for Estonia. Maaja Bratka (190-F/C-92) posted 9 points and 7 boards in the defeat.
