Gescrap BB - Ratiopharm 101-78
Bilbao became the first EuroCup semifinalists. They rallied past visiting Ratiopharm Ulm to claim victory on aggregate in the quarterfinal series. Ulm entered the road contest having a 4-point lead after the home encounter. The German team consolidated their advantage going on a 30:28 run in the first quarter. But Bilbao quickly tuned in and responded with a 29:17 rally in the second quarter. The Spaniards accumulated a 57:47 halftime lead. Bilbao kept Ulm at distance throughout the third quarter. The Basque team gained a 78:63 lead heading into the fourth stanza. Bilbao never slowed down in the final frame and marched to a convincing victory at the end. Nikolaos Zisis (197-G-83) produced 23 points to pace Bilbao. Lamont Hamilton (208-C/F-84, college: St.John's) chipped in 21 points and grabbed 9 rebounds for the home team. John Bryant (208-C-87, college: Santa Clara) answered with 21 points and 8 rebounds for Ulm. Per Guenther dropped 19 points in the loss.

Unics - Valencia 71-68
Valencia are the second EuroCup semifinalists. They edged Unics on aggregate to reach the next stage of the tournament. The Kazan team claimed a 3-point home win tonight but it was not enough to enter the semis. Chuck Eidson (203-F-80, agency: Three Eye Sports, college: S.Carolina) finished with 18 points and 8 rebounds for Unics. Valencia entered the game having a 10-point cushion from the home encounter. However Unics put a pressure on the visitors triggering a 20:14 run in the first quarter. Valencia slowed the hosts down in the second frame. The Spanish team cut the deficit at 4-point mark at halftime 31:35. Valencia got closer in the third quarter. The visitors narrowed the margin at just a single point 53:54 at the final intermission. Rafa Martinez opened the fourth frame with back-to-back triples as Valencia grabbed a 59:54 lead. Kaimakoglou and Chuck Eidson put Unics in front 67:64 but it was the biggest lead for Unics in the reminder of the contest as Valencia sealed the next stage appearance at the end. Ian Vougioukas (212-C/F-85, college: St.Louis) netted 11 points, while Vladimir Veremeenko added 10 points for Unics. Pau Ribas (193-PG-87) answered with 16 points for Valencia. Rafael Martinez chipped in 11 points in the loss.

Budivelnyk - Spartak SP 73-56
Budivelnyk completed the EuroCup semifinal picture. They outgunned Spartak Saint Petersburg in the Ukrainian capital to enter the next stage of the competition. Malcolm Delaney (191-G-89, college: Virginia Tech) delivered 17 points, 6 boards, 3 assists and 3 steals to pace the hosts. Spartak Saint Petersburg looked comfortable in the first quarter. They entered the game having a 10-point cushion after the home team. The advantage grew at 16-point mark after Spartak outscored the hosts in the first period. Budivelnyk responded with a furious rally in the second stanza. The Ukrainian team erased the deficit and spurred ahead for a 37:28 halftime lead. Spartak Saint Petersburg narrowed the deficit in the third quarter. The Russian team entered the fourth frame down by 7 points. But Budivelnyk gave no chance for the visitors. They ignited a 14:1 run to ensure a 73:54 lead with under two minutes remaining. Spartak could not recover in the remainder of the contest as Budivelnyk booked the semifinal appearance. Michailis Anisimovas (214-C-84) provided 15 points, while Artur Drozdov chipped in 12 points and grabbed 12 rebounds in the win. Loukas Mavrokefalidis (207-C-84) responded with 21 points for Spartak Saint Petersburg. Zack Wright had 14 points in the loss.

Lokomotiv - Buducnost 90-65
Lokomotiv Kuban will play in EuroCup semifinal. They handed the second straight defeat to Buducnost to claim a comprehensive victory on aggregate in the quarterfinal series. Simas Jasaitis (202-SF-82) nailed 23 points to pace the winners. Lokomotiv looked confident entering the game with an 18-point cushion after the game in Montenegro. Lokomotiv proved their strength in the first quarter at home court. The hosts went on a 29:16 run to clear off. Buducnost cut the deficit at 8-point mark at halftime 37:45. But Lokomotiv followed with a 26:16 rally in the third term and never looked back en route to a comprehensive success. Derrick Brown (203-F-87, college: Xavier) chipped in 17 points, while Richard Hendrix delivered 13 points for the winners. Aleksa Popovic (201-SF-87) answered with 14 points for Buducnost. Marko Mugosa had 9 points in the loss.   

Rakeem Christmas is a newcomer at Galatasaray - 2 hours ago
Galatasaray Odeabank Istanbul (BSL) strengthened their roster with addition of 26-year old Virgin Islander forward Rakeem Christmas (206-113kg-91, college: Syracuse). He played most recently at Indiana Pacers in the NBA. In 28 games he recorded just 2.1ppg and 2.0rpg last season. The previous (15-16) season Christmas played at another team Fort Wayne Mad Ants in U.S. NBA-G-League where in 48 games he averaged 13.9ppg, 7.1rpg and 1.7bpg. Josh Carter (ex Banco di Srd) agreed terms with Limoges - 4 days ago
Limoges CSP Elite (ProA) strengthened their roster with addition of 29-year old American ex-international forward Josh Carter (200-100kg-88, college: Texas A&M). He played most recently at Banco di Srd in Italian Serie A. In 25 games he recorded 7.6ppg, 2.5rpg and 1.2apg last season. Carter helped them to make it to the cup final.
