Lokomotiv will play in the EuroCup Final. They lost to Valencia in Krasnodar but advanced to the title game on aggregate. Lokomotiv entered the game with a 10-point lead after the Valencia game. The Russian team held on to the advantage throughout the opening quarter. Lokomotiv earned a 16:15 lead at the first intermission. But Valencia used a stifling defence to pull ahead in the second stanza. The Spaniards spurred ahead for a 28:26 halftime lead. The visitors stretched the lead in the third quarter. Valencia arrived at the final intermission up by 6 points 43:37. Stefan Markovic and Bojan Dubljevic (205-PF-91, agency: Beo Basket) made it 53:43 for Valencia with just over five minutes remaining in regulation. Nick Calathes and Maric pulled Lokomotiv within four points 55:59 with just over a minute remaining. Pau Ribas (193-PG-87) would give the visitors a 7-point lead on several occasions but Jimmy Baron sank four free throws in the dying seconds to help Loko reach Final. Stefan Markovic and Bojan Dubljevic produced 14 points each for Valencia. Pau Ribas had 12 points in the win. Nick Calathes answered with 19 points for Lokomotiv. Derrick Brown chipped in 11 points in the loss.

Gescrap BB - Budivelnyk 75-53
Uxue Bilbao Basket reach the Finals as they rolled over BC Budivelnik Kiev in Game 2 of the Semifinals. The Spanish team had a 10-point victory in Game 2 and added massive 75:53 win tonight. Uxue Bilbao Basket started with 20-14 in the first period and never looked behind in the game. They added 17-9 in the second frame and enjoyed a 37:23 halftime advantage. The team from Ukraine replied with 19-16 rally in the third quarter and managed to reduce to 9 points early in the last stanza. Uxue Bilbao Basket however pushed the tempo for good and reached a 22-point victory. Lamont Hamilton (208-C/F-84, college: St.John's) and Alex Mumbru (202-F-79) top-scored for the winners with 13 points each. Mamadou Samb, Kostas Vasiliadis and Fran Pilepic followed them with 10 points each in a win. Leo Lyons answered with 20 points in the losing effort, whilst Artur Drozdov (200-SF-80) posted 12. Michailis Anisimovas scored 8 and Sergiy Gorbenko had 6.

Shaquielle McKissic (ex Usak) agreed terms with Gran Canaria - 1 day ago
Herbalife Gran Canaria (Liga Endesa) inked 27-year old American small forward Shaquielle McKissic (196-91kg-90, college: Arizona State). He played most recently at Muratbey Usak Sportlif Basketbol in Turkish BSL league. McKissic managed to play in three leagues last year (!!!). In 26 BSL games he recorded very impressive stats: 15.8ppg, 5.7rpg, 2.9apg and 1.4spg (in top 4). A very good season in his career as he was voted to Turkish League All-Star Game. ALBA Berlin (BBL) confirmed in their roster 20-year old power forward Tim Schneider (208-108kg-97). He played there last season. But in 5 BBL games he did not score anything and had only 1 rebound and 1 assist. His team won the regular season. Quite impressive year as he was named to Eurobasket.com All-German 2.Bundesliga Pro B Honorable Mention. Schneider played 2 games in Eurocup, but he did not score anything. Vargas re-signs at ALBA Berlin - 2 days ago
ALBA Berlin (BBL) confirmed in their roster 27-year old German international guard Akeem Vargas (192-90kg-90, college: Iowa Lakes CC). He is a dual citizen owning also American passport. Vargas has played there for the last four seasons. In 36 BBL games he had just 2.8ppg and 1.3apg last season. Vargas helped them to make it to the German Bundesliga Cup Semifinals.
