CCC Polkowice - Galatasaray 58-51
CCC Polkowice surprise Galatasaray in Day 2 of the EuroLeague Quarterfinal Stage. The Polish side posted a 58:51 and buried all the chances for the Semifinal berth for the Turkish team. CCC Polkowice trailed by 9 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 9-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 58-51. CCC Polkowice dominated on the defensive end, holding Galatasaray to just 7 points in third quarter. Nnemkadi Ogwumike (189-F/C-90, college: Stanford) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds. Belinda Snell (181-SF-81) contributed with 16 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Sancho Lyttle (192-C-83, college: Houston) replied with 12 points and 7 rebounds and Sylvia Fowles added 7 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Galatasaray. Ann Wauters (194-C-80, agency: Josep and Nicolas) scored 8 and Alben as well as Torrens had 6 each. Tomorrow CCC Polkowice will take on Good Angels Kosice in the last game of the day. UMMC Ekaterinburg will play against Galatasaray.

Good Angels - UMMC 41-72
UMMC reach the Semifinals after the second game at the Quarterfinal stage. The Russian titan smashed Good Angels 72:41 and improved to 2-0 record with one game remaining. UMMC Ekaterinburg led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. UMMC Ekaterinburg outrebounded Good Angels 46-23 including a 35-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Candace Parker notched a double-double by scoring 11 points and 13 rebounds to lead the effort and Diana Taurasi (182-SG-82, college: Connecticut) supported her with 13 points and 5 assists. Four UMMC Ekaterinburg players scored in double figures. Even 12 points by Tijana Krivacevic (194-F-90) did not help to save the game for Good Angels. Helena Sverrisdottir (185-F/G-88, college: TCU) added 5 points for the hosts. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Tomorrow CCC Polkowice will take on Good Angels Kosice in the last game of the day. UMMC Ekaterinburg will play against Galatasaray.

Group B
Familia Schio - Fenerbahce 59-86
Fenerbahce erupts in the third quarter to rout Familia Schio and stepped closer to the semis. The Turkish side celebrated the second straight win and improved to 2-0 record on top of the Group B. Familia Schio suffered their second loss and dropped at 0-2 record. The game was mostly controlled by Fenerbahce. Familia Schio was better in fourth quarter 19-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Fenerbahce made 18-of-20 charity shots during the game. Cappie Pondexter (175-G-83, college: Rutgers) scored 14 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Serbian center Ivana Matovic chipped in 13 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Five Fenerbahce players scored in double figures. Jantel Lavender (190-C-88, college: Ohio St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 rebounds and guard Giorgia Sottana (178-G-88, agency: Players Group) scored 6 points and 4 assists. Tomorrow Fenerbahce will play against Spartak Moscow Region in the top game of Day 3. Bourges Basket will take on Famila Schio in the opener of the day.

Bourges - Spartak V MR 71-64
Bourges starts strong and escapes with a narrow win over Spartak Moscow Region in the start of Day 2 in Ekaterinburg. The French side surprised the Russian titans 71:64 as both teams are with 1-1 record in Pool A. Bourges grabbed the early lead and never looked behind after. The French side enjoyed 26-13 and added 22-14 in the second frame for 21-point advantage at the halftime. Spartak Moscow Region managed to control the second half and posted two victories to catch up with the opponents. It was not however enough to seal the victory. Marissa Coleman (185-G/F-87, college: Maryland) and Dumerc Celine scored the last points from the free throw line for the final success. Dumerc Celine top-scored for the winners with 21 points, 6 assists and 6 rebounds, while Marissa Coleman and Miyem Nwal-Endene added 16 each. Ndongue Emmeline delivered 8 points in a win. Seimone Augustus (183-SF-84, college: LSU) answered with 19 points in the losing effort and Candice Dupree (188-F/C-84, agency: LBM Management, college: Temple) posted 16. Isabelle Yacoubou-Dehoui (190-C-86) and Baric Nika followed them with 8 points each.

CCC Polkowice inks Antonija Sandric - 2 days ago
CCC Polkowice (BLK) agreed terms with 29-year old Croatian international forward Antonija Sandric (181-88, agency: 1x1 Sports). She played last season at Gernika Kirol Elkartea Saskibaloia in Spanish LFB league, but left. In 15 games she had 10.3ppg, 2.0rpg, 1.3apg and 1.0spg. Sandric also played that season for Canik Belediyesi Samsun in Turkish league where in 8 Eurocup games she recorded 7.8ppg, 1.9rpg, 2.8apg and 2.1spg. Famila Wuber Schio (Serie A1) confirmed in their roster 31-year old French international center Isabelle Yacoubou (190-86). She has played there for the last three seasons. In 17 Serie A1 games she recorded 13.6ppg, 8.6rpg, 1.4apg and 1.5spg last season. Yacoubou helped them to win the Supercup and make to league final. Piestanske Cajky (Extraliga) added to their roster 25-year old Czech power forward Barbora Kasparkova (185-92). She has played for the last eight seasons at Handicap Brno in ZBL league in Czech Republic. In 22 games she recorded 6.5ppg, 3.3rpg and 1.5spg last season. Kasparkova's team won Czech Republic Cup in 2013 and 2017.
