In the Semifinal UMMC will take on French Bourges that finished second in Group B.
Good Angels - CCC Polkowice 66-54 Good Angels take the last ticket to Final Four as they beat CCC Polkowice in the decisive game. The Slovakian side posted a comfortable 66:54 win and secured the second place in the group that gave them the ticket to the semis. The Polish team suffered their second loss and dropped at 1-2 record. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 10-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 66-54. It was a good game for Plenette Pierson (188-PF-81, college: Texas Tech) who led her team to a victory with 22 points and 8 rebounds. Natasha Lacy (178-PG-85, agency: Merit Sports, college: UTEP) contributed with 11 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Four Good Angels players scored in double figures. Nnemkadi Ogwumike (189-F/C-90, college: Stanford) answered with 18 points and 5 rebounds and Laia Palau (176-G-79) added 9 points in the effort for CCC Polkowice.
Spartak V MR - Fenerbahce 70-73 Fenerbahce survives a thriller against Spartak and reaches semis of the EuroLeague. The Turkish team beat Spartak Moscow Region 73:70 and finished on top of the group. Spartak Moscow Region suffered their second straight loss and finished third in the group. Spartak started with 22-15 lead and dominated the first period. They lost the second period 19-20 but had 6 points advantage at the halftime. Fenerbahce however controlled the second half. The Turkish side won the third quarter 19-12 and took the lead after 3 periods. Although McCoughtry Angel scored for 58:55, Beliakova and Candice Dupree (188-F/C-84, agency: LBM Management, college: Temple) made it 64:60. Veremeenko Anastasiya and Cappie Pondexter (175-G-83, college: Rutgers) meanwhile posted four for 71:67 and then Ivana Matovic (197-C-83) ensured the win for the Turkish team. Cappie Pondexter top-scored for the winners with 26 points and McCoughtry Angel collected massive 16 points and 14 rebounds. Ivana Matovic netted 10 and Veremeenko Anastasiya added 8. Augustus Seimone replied with 15 points in defeat and Yacoubou-Dehoui Isabelle had 14. Candice Dupree posted 13, while Vieru Natalia added 11 points and 10 boards.
Bourges - Familia Schio 60-56 Bourges start Day 3 with the win over Familia Schio. The French side stepped closer to the Semifinals after a 60:56 win. Familia Schio lost the third consecutive game and finished Group A with 0-3 record. It was a slow start for both teams as Bourges grabbed 11:10 lead. The French side added 19-16 rally in the second frame and enjoyed 30:27 halftime advantage. The second half was a real thriller in the court. Both teams scored 16 points in the third period and posted 14 points each in the last frame. Sottana gave Italian team 52:50 advantage with 4 minutes to go, but Bourges managed to win the game. Ndongue and Coleman Marissa ensured the last baskets for the winners and sealed an important win. Coleman Marissa stepped up with 19 points and Nwal-Endene Miyem (188-PF-88) netted 15. Johannah Leedham (180-SF-87, college: Franklin Pierce) scored 10, while Celine Dumerc (169-G-82) and Skrba Stephany produced 6 each.
