The 23-year old player was the main contributor (20 points, eight rebounds and two assists) to her team's victory, helping them to outclass CCC Polkowice (#8, 2-12) with 37-point margin 94-57. It allowed UMMC to consolidate first place in the Euroleague group B. UMMC has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 13-1. It was one of impressive evenings for Meesseman as usually she does not deliver so high stats. Emma Meesseman averages this season 11.1ppg.
The second best player in last round's games was 27-year old Lithuanian Gintare Petronyte (196-C/F-89) of Mersin BSB. Petronyte had a very good evening with 17 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists. Bad luck as Mersin BSB lost that game 52-75 to the higher-ranked Fenerbahce (#2, 11-3). Mersin BSB managed to keep the same 7th spot in group A. 12 lost games are too many comparing to just two victories Mersin BSB managed to get this year. Petronyte is a newcomer at Mersin BSB, but is already one of team's top players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 16.1ppg (#5). She also registered 7.2 boards per game.
Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Kia Vaughn (193-F/C-87) of USK Praha (#3). Vaughn scored 18 points and grabbed nine rebounds. Despite Vaughn's great performance USK Praha lost 63-71 to #4 ranked Familia Schio. But her team cannot count on just a single player as she also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The last thing USK Praha needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams in group A. Their record is 9 victories and 5 lost games. Vaughn has a very solid season. In 14 games in Euroleague she scored 11.8ppg. She also has 6.1rpg and FGP: 52.8%.
