Nathan Jawai
Galatasaray Medical Park Istanbul inks Australian Nathan Jawai (208-F/C-86, college: Midland CC). The player spent last season with Regal FC Barcelona in Spain. In 31 games he had 6.9ppg and 4.1rpg last season. He helped them to make it to the supercup final. Jawai also played 30 games in Euroleague where he recorded 7.1ppg and 4.7rpg. He contributed to his team making it to the Euroleague Final Four.
The previous (2012) summer Jawai played at Cairns Marlins (QBL) in Australian league. In two games he recorded 9.5ppg, 4.0rpg and 1.5apg. The last (2012) season he played at Unics Kazan (PBL) in Russian league. The team played in three different competitions (!!!) that year, and Jawai had a chance to explore basketball on different levels. In 15 PBL games he recorded 7.1ppg and 3.5rpg. He also played 15 games in Euroleague where he recorded 7.3ppg and 4.3rpg. He contributed to his team making it to the quarterfinals. Jawai also played 16 games in VTB United League where he recorded 11.5ppg and 4.6rpg. He contributed to his team making it to the final.
In 2010-11 season Nathan Jawai played at Partizan (A League) in Serbia. The team played in three different competitions that year, and he had a chance to explore basketball on different levels. In 20 A League games he recorded 8.9ppg, 3.9rpg and 1.1apg. He contributed to his team winning the league title. Quite impressive season as he was named to Eurobasket.com All-Serbian League 2nd Team. Jawai also played 16 games in Euroleague where he recorded 9.1ppg and 5.0rpg. He also played 28 games in Adriatic League where he recorded 10.4ppg, 4.3rpg and 1.2apg. Nathan Jawai contributed to his team winning the Adriatic League championship.
Jawai was also a member of Australian international program for some years. He played for Australian Senior National Team in 2009 and previously for U20 National Team back in 2004. Jawai represented Australia at the Oceania Championships four years ago. His team won Silver and his stats at that event were 2 games: 17.0ppg, 10.0rpg, 1.5apg, 1.5bpg, 2FGP: 40.0%, FT: 71.4%.

He played last season at Jilin Northeast Tigers in Chinese CBA league. In 37 games he recorded very impressive stats: 20.0ppg, 16.4rpg, 3.9apg, 1.5spg and 1.6bpg. Darussafaka Dogus Istanbul (BSL) strengthened their roster with addition of 26-year old Cuban forward Howard Sant-Roos (200-81kg-91).
