Moldova U18 - San Marino U18 90:55
Moldova registered the second straight win at the U18 European Championship in Andorra. They defeated San Marino to clinch the top position in Group A. Moldova therefore advanced into the semifinals. Vladislav Solopa (202-F-95) was unstoppable for Moldova scoring 45 points and pulling down 14 rebounds.
Moldova went on a 29:4 run in the first quarter. They stretched the gap in the second stanza. Moldova accumulated a 52:22 halftime lead. Moldova held their opponents to just 14 points in the third period to boost the lead to 34-point mark. They never looked back afterwards cruising to the victory. Piotr Liulenov (185-G-95) chipped in 16 points, while Vladimir Gaicean (202-C-95) added 9 points for Moldova. Igor Biordi (200-C-96) answered with 20 points for San Marino. Julian Gualtieri (188-G-95) had 19 points in the loss.

Andorra U18 - Gibraltar U18 87:47

Andorra opened win count at the U18 European Championship in Division C. The hosts knocked down Gibraltar to improve at 1-0 record. Juan Bustamante (198-C-95) came up with 19 points and 14 rebounds to lead the winners. Gibraltar fell at 0-2 record after the defeat.
Andorra grabbed a 14:12 lead after the opening quarter. They triggered a 25:9 rally in the second frame to gain a 39:21 halftime advantage. Andorra went on a 25:10 run in the third term to boost their lead. They were up by comfortable 33 points before the final stanza and never looked back en route to the win. Jordi Moline (176-PG-95) chipped in 17 points, while Eduard Fernandez (187-PG-95) had 14 points in the victory. Jake Haefner (185-G/F-97) responded with 18 points for Gibraltar. Thomas Yome (178-G/F-96) netted 9 points in the defeat.

FINAL Norway - Cyprus 84-53 Norway celebrated Gold medals in Nicosia. They rolled past hosting Cyprus in the title game tonight. Mikal Gjerde (195-G-00) produced 19 points for the winners. Norway accounted for a 38:28 halftime lead. The Scandinavian youngsters went on a 22:15 run in the third term to clear off. They finished the game on a 24:10 run to grab the trophy. Division C. Cyprus and Norway enter Final in Nicosia - 18 days ago
SEMIFINALS Malta - Cyprus 64-67 Cyprus held off Malta to enter Final in Nicosia. Michalis Motitis (192-SG-99) provided 17 points to lead the hosts. Cyprus eked out a 30:28 halftime lead. The home side extended the lead at 4-point mark heading into the fourth quarter. Malta sank 20 points in the fourth frame but could not avoid the loss.
