Quarterfinals Spain - Latvia 79-70 Spain fired past Latvia to pave their way into the semifinal stage in Helsinki. Francisco Alonso (190-G-96) posted 26 points to lead the winners. Quarterfinals Iceland - Georgia 94-54 Iceland stormed past Georgia to advance into the semifinals. Six players scored in double digits to lead the winners. Kristinn Palsson (198-G/F-97) and Hjalmar Stefansson (196-F-96) accounted for 15 points each for the Icelandic side. They reeled off to a massive 29:5 lead after the opening quarter.
