Eddy Casteels announced the Final Roster for Eurobasket 2013. Belgian NT coach cut thanked Thomas Dreesen (199-F-88, agency: Court Side), Pierre-Antoine Gillet (201-F-91) and Quentin Serron (190-G-90).
Thomas Dreesen played at Okapi Aalstar (Ethias League) in Belgium. In 29 games he had 7.1ppg and 2.0rpg. He helped them to make it to the cup final and to the league semifinals. Dreesen also played 10 games in EuroChallenge where he recorded 9.5ppg and 2.2rpg. He has been also a member of Belgian international program for some years. Dreesen has regularly played for Belgian senior team since 2009 and previously for U18 National Team back in 2006. He represented Belgium at the European Championships U20 Division B in Targu Mures (Romania) five years ago. Dreesen's team won Silver and his stats at that event were : 8 games: 13.6ppg, 4.3rpg, 1.4apg, 2FGP: 57.1%, 3PT: 34.6%, FT: 80.0%.
Dreesen has played also professionally in Luxembourg (Sparta) and Germany (Herten Lions).
Pierre-Antoine Gillet played at Liege Basket (Ethias League) in Belgium. In 25 games he averaged 6.8ppg and 5.3rpg. His team won Belgian League Regular Season in 2010.
Gillet has been also a member of Belgian international program for some years. He has regularly played for Belgian senior team since 2010 and previously for U20 National Team between 2010 and 2011. Gillet represented Belgium at the Qualifications to European Championships 2013 last year. His stats at that event were 8 games: 4.5ppg, 2.3rpg.
Quentin Serron played last at Base Oostende (Ethias League) in Belgium. In 18 games he recorded 4.3ppg and 1.9rpg. He helped them to win the league title and the cup.
Among other achievements Serron received Eurobasket.com All-Belgian League Most Improved Player of the Year award in 2011.
He has been also a member of Belgian international program for some years. Serron has regularly played for Belgian senior team since 2012 and previously for U18 National Team between 2007 and 2008. He represented Belgium at the European Championships U20 Division B in Austria three years ago. His stats at that event were 7 games: 9.6ppg, 4.3rpg, 2.4apg, FGP-2 (75.0%), 3PT: 50.0%, FT: 71.4%.
