Olga Arteshina to miss EuroBasket with torn ACL - Apr 10, 2013

UMMC and Russian National Team got upsetting news today. Olga Arteshina (188-PF-82) torn her ACL in the latest UMMC game in the Russian League and is expected to miss the reminder of the season and the upcoming EuroBasket. The power forward suffered an injury in UMMCs win over Spartak Noginsk at the quarterfinal stage of the championship. Olga Arteshina had a solid season with the Russian powerhouse. The forward notched 2.1 points and 2.9 rebounds per game in EuroLeague. In Russian League her stats read 4.7 points, 4.1 boards, 1.3 assists and 1.1 steals per appearance. Olga Arteshina has been the member of the Russian National Team since 2000. She also was the member of the Russian U16 National selection. The forward participated at the 2012 Olympic Games in London. Arteshina averaged 3.7 points and 3.3 rebounds per game at the tournament.

Alex Bentley to play for Belarus National Team - 22 days ago
Alex Bentley(170-PG-90, college: Tarbes) will play for the Belarus National Team and will get the passport from the country. The 27-year old point guard currently plays Adana ASKI Mersin in Turkey. In 22 KBSL games she had very impressive stats: 17.2ppg, 3.9rpg, 3.8apg and 1.5spg this season. Bentley also played earlier that season for KEB Hanabank in South Korean WKBL where in only one KBSL game she recorded 13 points, 3 rebounds and 2 steals. Stevan Karadzic to take over Serbian National Team - 2 months ago
Stevan Karadzic will take over the Serbian National Team. He will replace Marina Maljkovic (agency: BeoBasket ) at helm. Stevan Karadzic has most recently worked with Enisey Krasnoyarsk. Previously he guided Hemofarm and Crvena Zvezda. Stevan Karadzic used to work with Serbian U20 and U21 National Teams. He was named All-EuroCup Co-Coach of the Year back in 2009.   [read more]

Roberto Iniguez to lead Montenegrin National Team - 3 months ago
Roberto Iniguez has taken over the Montenegrin National Team. The Spanish specialist will replace Momir Milatovic at helm. Roberto Iniguez will steer Montenegro at the European Championship in 2017. Montenegro will face Latvia, Belgium and Russia in Group D. Roberto Iniguez has been guiding Nadezhda Orenburg since 2015. Previously he worked with Valencia and Fenerbahce.
