Tim Ohlbrecht (210-F/C-88) will not play at Eurobasket 2013 for the German national team. The player announced that he needs more preparation and rest in the US.
Tim Ohlbrecht plays at Houston Rockets in NBA and also played last season at Rio Grande Valley Vipers in D-League.In 38 games he had 12.9ppg, 7.3rpg and 1.5bpg. He helped them to win the league title despite they ended the regular season at the second place. It was a very successful season in his career as he was selected to USBasket.com All-D-League 2nd Team and to the All-Star Game. The last season Ohlbrecht played at Deutsche Bank Skyliners (BBL) in German league. In 29 games he had 6.0ppg and 4.0rpg. He also played 4 games in Eurocup where he had 7.3ppg and 2.3rpg. The other team Ohlbrecht played shortly was Fraport Skyliners II (ProB) in German league. In four games he had 14.5ppg, 11.3rpg, 2.5apg, 1.5spg and 1.8bpg.
The 2010/2011 season he played at Telekom Baskets (BBL) in German league. In 27 games he had 6.7ppg and 4.9rpg. Ohlbrecht also played 5 games in EuroChallenge where he had 10.0ppg and 5.6rpg.
Ohlbrecht was also a member of German international program for some years. He played for German Senior National Team between 2008 and 2012 and previously for U20 National Team back in 2007. Ohlbrecht represented Germany at the European Championships U18 in Amaliada (Greece) seven years ago. His stats at that event were 8 games: 15.1ppg, 13.9rpg, 1.1apg, 1.1spg, 1.9bpg, 2FGP: 55.4%, 3FGP: 22.7%, FT: 75%.
