Here is the weekly review of the top performing FYR Macedonian players, who play currently abroad.

Pero Antic
Pero Antic
#1. This week's number one is an international forward Pero Antic (210-82, agency: Beo Basket, currently plays in Euroleague). He contributed to Olympiacos' victory against the closely-ranked Real Madrid (10-4) 100-88 in the Euroleague in Sunday night's game. Antic recorded 10 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 24 minutes on the court. It was the game of the round between two top 2 ranked teams in group F. Olympiacos S.F.P. Pireus (9-5) is placed second. This year Antic averages: 6.0ppg, 3.5rpg, 2FGP: 51.5%, 3FGP: 26.1% and FT: 65.9% in the 31 games he played so far. He has a dual citizenship: FYR Macedonian and Bulgarian. Antic is currently a member of the FYR Macedonian senior national team.

Bo McCalebb
Bo McCalebb
#2. Second place goes to an international point guard Bo McCalebb (178-85, college: New Orleans, currently plays in Turkey), who plays in the Turkish TBL. He could not help Fenerbahce Ulker (24-6) in their last game. Despite McCalebb's good performance Fenerbahce Ulker lost 68-74 on the road to the lower-ranked (#5) Karsiyaka. He was the second best scorer with 12 points. McCalebb also added 4 assists and 4 steals in 22 minutes. McCalebb is ranked fifth on the list of the most steals in the league with 1.6spg. This year his other stats are: 13.3ppg, 2.7rpg, 3.3apg, 2FGP: 55.4%(92-166), 3FGP: 36.1% and FT: 84.0% in the 24 games. McCalebb is a naturalized American. He is in the roster of the FYR Macedonian senior national team. Strangely McCalebb has never played in FYR Macedonia.

Marques Green
Marques Green
#3. The FYR Macedonian player who performed third best last week abroad was former international point guard Marques Green (167-82, college: St.Bonaventure, currently plays in Italy). He led Armani Milano to an overtime victory against the closely-ranked Montepaschi Siena (18-12) 81-79 in the Italian SerieA last Sunday. Green scored 11 points and added 3 passes in 31 minutes. EA7 Emporio Armani Milano (19-11) is placed fourth in the SerieA. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. Green belongs to league's best passers and is ranked #4 with 4.5apg. This year he also averages: 7.5ppg, 2.6rpg, 1.4spg, 2FGP: 48.7%, 3FGP: 48.7%(38-78) and FT: 82.4% in the 22 games. Green is a naturalized American. He played for the FYR Macedonian national team three years ago. Apparently Green has never played in FYR Macedonia.

Vlado Ilievski
Vlado Ilievski
#4. An experienced point guard Vlado Ilievski (190-80, also represented by Beo Basket, currently plays in Croatia) was not able to help Cedevita (11-3) in their game against Cibona (12-2) in the Croatian A1. He scored 6 points and added 4 passes. The third-placed Cedevita was edged 85-84 in a derby game by the leading Cibona in the Places 1-8 group. They ended the series of five consecutive victories. Ilievski's team will play only one more game in the Second Stage. And that game will be critical. It's Ilievski's first season with the team. His overall stats this year are: 5.4ppg and 2.3apg. Ilievski is another player who holds two passports: FYR Macedonian and Slovenian. He is also FYR Macedonian national team player.

The list of other players, who all have FYR Macedonian passport but never been selected to any of FYR Macedonian national teams:

#1. Kennedy Winston (198-F/G-84, college: Alabama, currently plays in France), who plays in the French ProA could not help Gravelines-Dunkerque (21-9) in their last game on Monday. Despite his very good performance the league leader Gravelines-Dunkerque was defeated in an overtime 101-95 on the road by the much lower-ranked JSF Nanterre (#8). Winston was the second best scorer with 18 points. He also added 4 steals. Winston has relatively good stats this season: 12.6ppg, 3.2rpg and 1.5apg. He is a naturalized American. Strangely Winston has never played in FYR Macedonia.

#2. Darius Washington (188-PG-85, college: Memphis, currently plays in France), who plays in the French ProA was not able to help Le Mans (16-14) in their last game on Tuesday. Despite his very good performance Le Mans was badly defeated 69-52 in Villeurbanne by the higher-ranked ASVEL Lyon- Basket (#3). Washington was the top scorer with 19 points. Washington is currently second on the list of most steals. He has individually a very good season with high stats. Washington averages: 15.1ppg, 3.7rpg, 3.8apg and 2.0spg. He is a naturalized American. Apparently Washington has never played in FYR Macedonia.

Karpos Sokoli's team says goodbye to their MVP Dominic Mavra - 5 hours ago
The Croat goes to Spain, in the ranks of Divina Seguros Juventut Badalona where he will play with our international player Nenad Dimitrijevic (187-PG-98). After a season in Karpos Sokoli 2000 Skopje, Dominik Mavra (195-G-94) again "found" his form and his price on the basketball market grew because of the excellent parties in the Skopje's club. The 23-year-old playmaker has never played for his native Zadar. He started with basketball in Zagreb, then through Split, KK Cibona VIP Zagreb,...   [read more]
