The most exciting game of round 4 in the Prva Liga took place in Gevgelija. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of their biggest opponent Feni Indistrija (12-6) to first ranked Kozuv (13-5) 87-86 in the game for the first place. It was a key game for the top position in Liga. Feni Indistrija was trailing by 7 points at halftime but managed to get 3-point lead after three quarters before a 25-21 charge of Kozuv, which allowed them to win the game. They made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of Serbian Vladimir Filipovic (196-85) who helped to win the game recording 22 points. The former international guard Dimitar Karadzovski (190-84, agency: Global Sports Plaza) contributed with 10 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Kozuv's coach Marjan Srbinovski used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American point guard Corey McIntosh (183-85, college: Iowa St.) replied with 21 points for Feni Indistrija. Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Skopje: MZT Skopje (#6) and Fersped-Rabotnicki (#4). At the losing side American-Somalian forward Mohammed Abukar (208-85, college: San Diego St., agency: Two Points) responded with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Defending champion maintains sixth position in Liga with 4-0 record. Fersped-Rabotnicki at the other side keeps the fourth place with eight games lost. MZT Skopje will play against league's second-placed Feni Indistrija in Kavadarci in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Fersped-Rabotnicki will play on the road against Kumanovo 2009 and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
An interesting game for ABA Strumica (7-9) which hosted in Strumica 3rd ranked Vardar (2-14). First ranked ABA Strumica had an easy win 99-81. The winners were led by Nemanja Arsic who had that evening a double-double by scoring 22 points and 18 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Even 20 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists by Zarko Djuric did not help to save the game for Vardar. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. ABA Strumica maintains first position in Liga with 7-9 record. Loser Vardar keeps the third place with 14 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
