Prva Liga is at the halfway of the Second Stage and there are still another 5 rounds left.

The most exciting game of round 5 in the Prva Liga took place in Kumanovo. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 4th placed Fersped-Rabotnicki (10-9) to fifth ranked Kumanovo 2009 (9-10) 88-86 on Wednesday evening. Fersped-Rabotnicki cut a 17-point halftime deficit to two at the end of the game. 24 personal fouls committed by Fersped-Rabotnicki helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American forward Anthony Lee-Ingram (195-88, college: Brescia, KY, agency: Beo Basket) stepped up and scored 22 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and international guard Aleksandar Kostoski (186-88, agency: Global Sports Plaza) chipped in 17 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Guard Aleksandar Dimitrovski (193-80) responded with 23 points. Kumanovo 2009 maintains fifth place with 9-10 record. Fersped-Rabotnicki at the other side keeps the fourth position with nine games lost. Kumanovo 2009 is looking forward to face league's second-placed Feni Indistrija in Kavadarci in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Fersped-Rabotnicki's supporters also look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Skopje to the arena Lirija.

MZT Skopje's coach Ales Pipan felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Montenegrin swingman Nikola Vucurovic (200-80, agency: Global Sports Plaza) came up with 15 points and 8 rebounds for Feni Indistrija in the defeat. Undefeated MZT Skopje have an impressive series of five victories in a row. Defending champion maintains sixth place with 5-0 record. Feni Indistrija lost third consecutive game. They keep the second position with seven games lost. They share it with Lirija. MZT Skopje will play against league's leader Kozuv in Gevgelija in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Feni Indistrija will play on the road against Kumanovo 2009 and hopes to get back on the winning track.

Loser Lirija dropped to the second position with seven games lost. They share it with Feni Indistrija. Kozuv will meet at home MZT Skopje (#6) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Lirija's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Skopje Fersped-Rabotnicki.

The most impressive stats of the last round was 25 points and 7 rebounds by Nemanja Jelesijevic of Rabotnicki.

Serbian coach Dragan Nikolic left Karpos Sokoli 2000 Skopje (Prva Liga). Nikolic's team won the Macedonian Cup. Among other achievements he received Eurobasket.com All-Serbian 2MLS Coach of the Year award in 2015. Nikolic was coaching Serbian Senior National Team back in 2012. He has coached also professionally for other Serbian teams like Metalac, KK Mladost Z Admiral Zemun and Tamis. Pavic managed to play in five leagues in two countries last year (!!!). In 16 ABA League games he had 8.1ppg, 4.4rpg, 1.0apg and 1.6spg (in top 5).
