Third-ranked Vardar (3-15) made lots of trouble for first ranked ABA Strumica (8-9) in Skopje on Saturday. The visitors from Strumica managed to secure only five-point victory 85-80. However their fans expected easier game. Mario Hasanov fired a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Vardar's coach Branko Andrievski tried various players' combinations and tested in total twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. ABA Strumica maintains first place in Liga with 8-9 record. Vardar at the other side keeps the third position with 15 games lost. ABA Strumica will have a break next round. Vardar will play again at home against the league's leader ABA Strumica and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

The best stats of 7th round was 25 points and 13 rebounds by Dalman Noa of MZT Skopje.

Everything could happen in Kavadarci at the game between two tied teams. Both second ranked Feni Indistrija and 3rd placed Lirija had identical 12-8 record. This time Feni Indistrija used a home court advantage and crushed the opponent from Skopje 96-76 on Saturday night. Feni Indistrija outrebounded Lirija 42-27 including a 33-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Lirija's players. The former international power forward Bojan Trajkovski (206-88, agency: Global Sports Plaza) fired a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Montenegrin swingman Nikola Vucurovic (200-80, agency: Global Sports Plaza) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds. Feni Indistrija's coach Miodrag Kadija used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Montenegrin power forward Balsa Radunovic (207-80, agency: Interperformances) produced 13 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and naturalized Dominican guard Carlos Morban (187-82, college: FIU, agency: Global Sports Plaza) added 18 points respectively for lost side. Five Feni Indistrija and four Lirija players scored in double figures. Feni Indistrija maintains second place in Liga with 13-8 record having just three points less than leader Kozuv. Lirija at the other side keeps the third position with nine games lost. Feni Indistrija will face Fersped-Rabotnicki (#4) in Skopje in the next round. Lirija's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Skopje MZT Skopje.

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when sixth ranked MZT Skopje (6-1) smashed at home 5th ranked Kumanovo 2009 (10-11) 112-75 on Saturday. The game without a history. MZT Skopje led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 24-of-27 free shots (88.9 percent) during the game. MZT Skopje outrebounded Kumanovo 2009 42-27 including 28 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Fersped-Rabotnicki was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Kozuv made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. Serbian swingman Miladin Pekovic (197-83, agency: BeoExcell) fired 12 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Serbian point guard Igor Mijajlovic (193-84, agency: Global Sports Plaza) chipped in 14 points. Kozuv's coach Marjan Srbinovski used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. American-Somalian forward Mohammed Abukar (208-85, college: San Diego St., agency: Two Points) produced 17 points and 8 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws) and Serbian power forward Nemanja Jelesijevic (210-79) added 13 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. Vardar was trailing by 1 point at halftime but managed to get 3-point lead after three quarters before a 18-15 charge of ABA Strumica, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time. They were better in overtime eventually winning that period 13-8. Vardar was plagued by 31 personal fouls down the stretch. Forward Mario Hasanov (198-86) fired a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Serbian center Nemanja Arsic (214-85) chipped in a double-double by scoring 21 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks. Five ABA Strumica players scored in double figures.
