It was an exciting night in Kavadarci as Karpos Sokoli 2000 Skopje defeated tournament host KK Feni Industries with 80-69 to seize their first trophy ever. Karpos Sokoli 2000 Skopje started the game in their favor. They played better in defense and kept KK Feni Industries on unreconstructed shots from distance. Feni started the game with 3 missed shots from the three point line, but soon after their luck changed. Making the next four shots from distance Feni made a 12-0 series to take over the result. From this moment till the halftime buzzer it was on and off for both teams. Feni kept their lead in most of the second period, but in the last minutes of the first half Dragan Labovic (207-F/C-87, agency: Alti Sport) scored two triples, Bojan Trajkovski (208-F/C-88, agency: Mansfield and Associates) added one and Karpos Sokoli 2000 Skopje took the lead once again (42-37). The start of the second half went in Sokoli's way. The aggressive defense gave them a double digit lead (48-38), but KK Feni Industries managed to get back in the game on the wings of Andrej Magdevski (192-PG-96) who played brilliantly on both side of the court. But jet at the end of the third quarter the result was in favor of Karpos Sokoli 2000 Skopje (55-52). The key moments of the game came early in the last quarter as Karpos Sokoli 2000 Skopje made a 13-0 series to seize the game (71-54). Although, Feni played better in the end they did not have the time for a comeback.
Dominik Mavra (195-G-94) led his team once again. The Croat added 21 points and 6 rebounds and assists to Sokoli's victory and Dragan Labovic finished the game with 17 points and 8 rebounds. Kendrick Perry finished the game with 13 points, while Bojan Trajkovski added 12 points and 5 rebounds. On the other side, captain Kiril Nikolovski (210-F/C-88) scored 19 points and added 6 rebounds and 3 assists, while Andrej Magdevski finished the game with 10 points, 6 steals and 5 assists.
MVP of the final eight tournament was Dominik Mavra with his excellent performance over the three games, averaging 19.6ppg, 5.6apg and 3.0rpg, while Kiril Nikolovski was named the best scorer of the tournamet.

The domination of the eternal Skopje rivals KK MZT Skopje Aerodrom and KK Rabotnicki AD Skopje in the Macedonian Cup will finally be ended as Macedonia will name a new crown standing on top of Cup competition following the defeats of the two biggest clubs in the country in the semifinals.
The first game of the semifinals went fully by its expectations. Karpos Sokoli 2000 Skopje managed to control the game from start to finish to make it one step away from the first club trophy. The strong start from Dragan Nikolic 's men followed by the wonderful performance by Dominik Mavra (195-G-94) gave Sokoli a double digit lead by the seventh minute of the game (18-8). KK Rabotnicki AD Skopje started playing better in the defense and managed to cut the difference by five points, but their bad percentage from the free throw line and the fair numbers of turnovers had a main role in the first quarter (25-18). KK Rabotnicki AD Skopje managed to cut the difference by only three points (33-30) in the second quarter with two three pointers by Petar Nikolic (G-93) and Viktor Efremovski (191-SF-98), but on the other side of the court Bojan Trajkovski (208-F/C-88, agency: Mansfield and Associates) and Dragan Labovic (207-F/C-87, agency: Alti Sport) answered with their series to give Sokoli even a bigger lead of 12 points (42-30). By the end of the first half both teams exchanged baskets, but did not make an impact on the scoreboard. At the half time buzzer the score was set at 48-37. However, the most interesting period of the game was jet to follow. Both sides came out of the locker room with "snipers" in their hands and there we had it. The great shooting challenge was "called out" by Bojan Trajkovski with two triples in a row. Dime Tasovski answered even better, the experienced Forward scored 12 points from four triples for a 12-2 series, but then another guy stepped on the court. Dominik Mavra continued his excellent performance and sinked down two triples to neutralize the score. At the end of the exciting shooting performance Karpos Sokoli 2000 Skopje was the team that managed to grab an eleven point lead (73-61) at the end of the third quarter. The last 10 minutes were only a formality. Sokoli played much better and filled their margin for a new final, two years in a row. Dominik Mavra was the first name in the game. The Croatian international led Karpos Sokoli 2000 Skopje with 27 points, 8 assists and 3 steals, while Bojan Trajkovski added 17 points and 7 rebounds. For the loosing side, Dime Tasovski scored 23 points and 4 rebounds and assists, and both Petar Nikolic and Nenad Misanovic (217-C-84) added 12 points. The first day of the Macedonian Cup 2017 brought us excitement in the field in Kavadarci as nearly all teams fought hard to make it to the semifinals. However, the favorites justified their role in the quarterfinals and moved on to fight for the grand price.
The first battle in the quarterfinals gave us a thrilling game as the youngsters Vardar Skopje managed to get back in the game from a huge deficit and arrange us a exciting finish to the game. Karpos Sokoli 2000 Skopje started the game dominantly on both sides of the court and just after three minutes in the game they already had a double deficit lead snitching a 13-2 run in the opening minutes of the match. Dragan Nikolic 's men continued their exhibition till the end of the first quarter (30-13), which ended with the awakening of Vojce Levkoski (91) who scored the last four points for Vardar Skopje. The real excitement came in the second quarter as Vardar Skopje managed to keep Karpos Sokoli 2000 Skopje on only 7 points for almost 5 minutes of the game, in that time scoring perfectly in the attack to cut the lead to single digit (39-31) on the wings of Vojce Levkoski who had 18 points in the first half. However, Karpos Sokoli 2000 Skopje managed to get together and closed the first half with 9-2 streak to go up to double digit once again (53-37). Despite the slow start of the second half coming from Karpos Sokoli 2000 Skopje, Vardar Skopje did not had much of an impact in the opening minutes as the youngsters mainly allowed Sokoli to use their turnovers and score from counterattacks that brought Karpos Sokoli 2000 Skopje to their biggest margin in the game of 20 points (67-47). The comfort lead once again was blown by Karpos Sokoli 2000 Skopje as they allowed Vardar Skopje to get back in the game in the second part of the third and the fourth quarter. In the last 10 minutes of the game Vardar Skopje played amazing defense and had a fair of scoring in the attack as minute by minute they managed to cut the deficit. The calm hand of Deji Ibitayo (193-G-93, college: Akron, agency: Mansfield and Associates) cut the lead to 4 points (86-82) with 27 seconds to go, but Sokoli managed to score 6/6 from the free throw line to seize the victory. Macedonian national player Bojan Trajkovski (208-F/C-88, agency: Mansfield and Associates) had an amazing day leading Karpos Sokoli 2000 Skopje with 20 points, 6 assists and 5 rebounds, while former national Darko Sokolov (189-G-86) backed his team mate with 18 points. On the other side of the court, Deji Ibitayo played an all around game managing to grab a double-double of 17 points and 10 assists, while adding 5 rebound, but Vojce Levkoski was the first pointer in the team with 22 points. It was a blowout for the hosts of the tournament as KK Feni Industries stated their role again KK Ohrid AV managing to grab a 43 point win to seize a spot in the semifinals. The game started as expected. KK Feni Industries played better in both sides of the court and just after 10 minutes of play they've had a decent lead of 24-12. However, on the wings of wonderful Devin Brooks (186-G-92, college: Creighton) the visitors from Ohrid managed to cup the deficit to 8 points (30-28) within the 5 minutes of the second quarter. The real power of KK Feni Industries was jet to be displayed as Ljupcho Malinkov 's men outblasted the visitors in the following minutes scoring 22 points and allowing only 9 in the last 5 minutes of the first half to go up to +21 (52-31) in the halftime break. Even here all the debuts of the game was done. In the second half (60-38) KK Feni Industries showed an exciting team play that followed up to six double digit played and not less than 31 assist (!!!). KK Feni Industries sharp shooter Matija Ceskovic (192-G-81) led the team with 20 points, captain Kiril Nikolovski (210-F/C-88) added a double-double of 18 points and 13 rebounds, while he was joined by Branislav Djekic (209-F/C-91) with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Devin Brooks had an amazing debut for KK Ohrid AV leading the team with 37 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists.
The most exciting game was set to be one of the oldest Macedonian derby games. KK Rabotnicki AD Skopje and KK Kumanovo 2009 already played two exciting games this season and split the wins with home court advantage, but this time it was another question, a bigger stake and another thriller. KK Rabotnicki AD Skopje started the game strongly. Marin Dokuzovski (agency: BeoBasket )'s men scored in their first three shoots outside the 3 point line and made two easy layups to go up by 13 (18-5) with 5 minutes played. KK Kumanovo 2009 was struggling to find their form in the first quarter as KK Rabotnicki AD Skopje took the opening 10 minutes with 24-13. The Macedonian vice champion played better in the second quarter, but did not manage to make a huge impact on the score, as for every KK Kumanovo 2009 brake, KK Rabotnicki AD Skopje had its own. However, KK Kumanovo 2009 managed to stay alive in the game with the points coming from the bench where Nikola Karakolev (197-SG-87) played an determined role. KK Rabotnicki AD Skopje managed to control the game in start of the second half where in one moment they went ahead by 15 (45-30), but the most exciting part was jet to be reviled. KK Kumanovo 2009 straightened their defense in last minutes of the third quarter and grabbed a 4-0 to close the third quarter (63-51) cutting down to the deficit from the first half, but continuing their best performance in the last 10 minutes of the game. Marjan Janevski (203-F-88) started the last period with a 2+1 and then made a three point. Dimitar Karadzovski (190-G-84, agency: Global Sports Plaza) made a layup and scored a three point, Yonel Brown added a three aswell and in just three and a half minutes in the last period we had a 70-65 lead to KK Rabotnicki AD Skopje. After coach Dokuzovski's timeout KK Rabotnicki AD Skopje played better, went up ahead on a double digit lead, but jet again KK Kumanovo 2009 managed to split the deference to 4 points (79-75) with 1:45 to go. However, the key moment of the game came up in less then a minute as KK Rabotnicki AD Skopje managed to score 4 points in a row with less than a minute left to play and there was no time for KK Kumanovo 2009 to get back in the game. Nenad Misanovic (217-C-84) is a fellow worth to have underneath the basket as the Serb led KK Rabotnicki AD Skopje with 23 points and 8 rebounds. Captain Dimitar Mirakovski (177-PG-81, agency: Interperformances) jet again showed that age is just a number as he sinked KK Kumanovo 2009 with 19 points, 7 assists and 5 rebound. KK Kumanovo 2009 had its flows in the game, but another leader of the team was born as the experienced Dimitar Karadzovski led the team with 19 points and 6 assists, while Danilo Mijatovic stopped at 15 points this time.
