Hester
American Antonio Hester (198-F) had an amazing evening in the last round for league's second-best TuNMKY and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com 1st Division Player of the Week award for round 26.
The -year old forward had a double-double of 35 points and twenty one rebounds, while his team beat Espoo Basket (#7, 8-19) 80-67. TuNMKY maintains the 2nd position in Finnish 1st Division. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. TuNMKY will need more victories to improve their 19-7 record. Hester turned to be TuNMKY's top player in his first season with the team. Mobile University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Hester. Hester is in league's top in points (5th best: 22.9ppg) and averages solid 1.2bpg and 67.4% FGP. Worth to mention Hester played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 27-year old American Eryk Thomas (200-C/F-85) of SayRi. Thomas impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 25 points and 10 rebounds. Of course he lead SayRi to another comfortable win outscoring slightly lower-ranked Ura Basket (#9, 6-17) 102-82. SayRi's 8th position in group A has not changed. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 7-16 record. Thomas is one of the most experienced players at SayRi and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was American DeAndre Mays (188-G-87, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) of Huima (#6). Mays showcased his all-around game by recording 25 points, nine rebounds and seven assists in the last round. He was a key player of Huima, leading his team to a 84-81 win against slightly higher-ranked BC Nokia (#4, 12-10). The chances of Huima not to end season at such low position in group A, however are less than slim as they have already lost 14 games, recording just nine victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Mays could try to bring Huima's a little bit higher in the standings. Mays has individually a great season in Finland. After 19 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 22.0ppg (7th best) and assists with 4.3apg (4th best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Josh Nofflet (194-G/F-88) of Oulun NMKY - 25 points, 15 rebounds and 3 assists
5. Marcus Capers (193-G-89) of ToPo - 21 points, 15 rebounds and 3 assists
6. Visa Tarjanne (193-F-93) of Jarvenpaa - 34 points and 10 rebounds
7. Russell Frederick (185-PG-88) of Oulun NMKY - 23 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists
8. Shaquille Johnson (190-G-90) of SayRi - 24 points, 11 rebounds and 3 assists
9. Devin Ginty (188-G-89) of ToPo - 32 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists
10. Cory Abercrombie (201-PF-85) of Huima - 21 points, 14 rebounds and 3 assists

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
