Giles
American forward Devonne Giles (203-F-83) had a great game in the last round for top-ranked KTP, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 39.
The 29-year old player had a double-double of 16 points and 16 rebounds, while his team crushed LrNMKY (#7, 16-21) with 21-point margin 99-78. It allowed KTP to consolidate first place in the Finnish Korisliiga. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. KTP has a very solid 29-9 record, but they cannot be too comfortable about keeping top position. Giles turned to be KTP's top player in his first season with the team. Former Texas Tech University star has very solid stats this year. Giles is in league's top in rebounds (4th best: 9.1rpg) and averages impressive 1.1bpg and 61.3% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was 26-year old American Lamonte Ulmer (198-SF-86) of Pyrinto. Ulmer had a very good evening with 26 points and 8 rebounds. Bad luck as Pyrinto lost that game 82-90 to the lower-ranked Lapua (#8, 13-25). Pyrinto managed to keep the same 4th spot in the standings. His team's 25-11 record is not bad at all. Ulmer is a newcomer at Pyrinto, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 18.2ppg (#7). He also registered 7.8 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward T.J. Robinson (203-F-89, agency: Global Sports Plaza) of Korihait (#9). Robinson scored 23 points and grabbed twelve rebounds (!!!). Despite Robinson's great performance Korihait lost 74-80 to slightly higher-ranked Lapua (#8, 13-25). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Korihait not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 26 games, recording just twelve victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Robinson could try to bring Korihait's a little bit higher in the standings. Robinson has individually a great season in Finland. After 18 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 9.7rpg (2nd best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Martin Zeno (196-G-85) of Nilan Bisons - 26 points, 10 rebounds and 2 assists
5. Tremaine Ford (206-F/C-86) of Kauhajoki - 27 points and 12 rebounds
6. Louis Johnson (206-F/C-86) of Namika Lahti - 22 points, 11 rebounds and 2 assists
7. Dwight Tolbert (195-F-86) of Lapua - 23 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists
8. Samuel Haanpaa (203-SG-86) of Lapua - 19 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists
9. Dominique Coleman (190-G-84) of Lapua - 16 points, 5 rebounds and 11 assists
10. Emmanuel Holloway (185-G-86) of Namika Lahti - 23 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
