And KTP did tonight the same as in the semi-finals. Then KTP captured the home court advantage away from Kataja (Joensuu) in the first game, this time Bisons had to admit KTP was better. Bisons was shooting with terrible shooting percentages and KTP won by six 71-77 (34-33). Quarters: 16-20, 18-13, 23-28, 14-16.
Bisons was 2/23 (9%) from the distance and 50% (7/14) from the FT-line. Sharphooters Mikko Koivisto (194-G-87, college: NC-Greensboro) (0/7), Jeb Ivey (190-G-80, college: Portland St.) (1/7), Matti Nuutinen (200-PF-90) (0/3) had it difficult from behind the arc, but Timo Heinonen (198-F-81) (KTP) made alone his three 3-pointers in this contest. KTP lost the rebounds 32-46 and in this part of the game KTP must be stronger in the near future.
Martin Zeno (196-G-85, college: Texas Tech) led the hosts with a double-double 23pts/11rbs. Heinonen and Sefton Barrett (196-SF-83, college: Cent.Michigan) scored both 22 points for the visitors. Bisons - KTP 0-1. Next game on Friday, May 10, in Kotka.
