McKenzie
22-year old guard Miriam McKenzie (177-G-90) put on an amazing game in the last round for second-ranked PeKa and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 32.
She had a double-double of 18 points and 11 rebounds, while her team beat TuRi (#9, 8-19) 90-76. PeKa maintains the 2nd position in Finnish SM-sarja. They are still close to the very top. PeKa would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 22-4 record. McKenzie turned to be PeKa's top player in her first season with the team. Loyola College graduate has very impressive stats this year. McKenzie is in league's top in rebounds (9th best: 10.7rpg) and averages solid 3.0spg.

Second best performed player last round was Callan Taylor (182-F-90) of TuRi. She is American forward in her first season at TuRi. In the last game Taylor recorded impressive double-double of 32 points and 14 rebounds. Bad luck as TuRi lost that game 76-90 to the higher-ranked PeKa (#2, 22-4). This loss caused TuRi to drop to 9th position in the standings. 19 lost games are too many comparing to just eight victories TuRi managed to get this year. Taylor is a newcomer at TuRi and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 18.5ppg (#5). She also registered 11.1 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to Earlysia Marchbanks (180-SF, agency: Interperformances) of Kerava (#8). Marchbanks scored 20 points and grabbed nineteen rebounds (!!!). She was a key player of Kerava, leading her team to a 85-60 easy win against the lower-ranked HyPo (#11, 3-23). The chances of Kerava not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 18 games, recording just eight victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Marchbanks could try to bring Kerava's a little bit higher in the standings. Marchbanks has individually a great season in Finland. After 22 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 18.4ppg (6th best) and rebounds with 13.8rpg (3rd best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Phebe Smith (183-F) of HyPo - 17 points and 17 rebounds
5. Jonna Tiihonen (185-C-93) of Huima - 13 points, 17 rebounds and 3 assists
6. Jelena Reshetko (184-C/F-86) of Catz - 14 points, 15 rebounds and 2 assists
7. Alexandria Anderson (185-G/F-86) of Catz - 14 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists
8. Sofia Pelander (188-C-92) of TuRi - 20 points and 10 rebounds
9. Rosetta Adzasu (165-PG-90) of Kerava - 21 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
