Jeltema
American Melissa Jeltema (175-G-88) had a very impressive game in the last round for Honka and that's her to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 35.
The 24-year old guard had the game-high 28 points adding nine rebounds and five assists for Honka in her team's victory, helping them to crush HyPo (#11, 3-26) with 19-point margin 90-71. Honka is placed at 4th position in Finnish SM-sarja. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Honka will need more victories to improve their 17-12 record. In the team's last game Jeltema had a remarkable 72.7% from 2-point range and got three three-pointers out of 7 attempts. She turned to be Honka's top player in her first season with the team. Oakland University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Jeltema is league's best scorer averaging so far 26.1ppg. Jeltema is in league's top in and averages solid 1.2bpg and 2.7spg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 29-year old American center Kenya McBee (192-C-83) of ToPo. McBee impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 21 points and 19 rebounds. Of course she lead ToPo to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Kerava (#8, 9-20) 100-61. ToPo's 5th position in the standings has not changed. Her team lost some distance to top teams. But 17-12 record is not bad and everything may still change. McBee is one of the most experienced players at ToPo and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was another ToPo's star - former international forward Niina Laaksonen (185-F/C-85). Laaksonen scored 28 points and grabbed twelve rebounds (!!!). She was another key player of ToPo, helping her team with a 100-61 easy win against the lower-ranked Kerava (#8, 9-20). ToPo needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 17 victories and 12 lost games. Laaksonen has a great season in Finland. After 27 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 20.7ppg (2nd best) and rebounds with 13.9rpg (2nd best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Korinne Campbell (182-G/F-88) of PeKa - 22 points and 11 rebounds
5. Natalie Day (182-G/F-90) of HyPo - 26 points and 13 rebounds
6. Jordan Murphree (183-G-87) of Honka - 25 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists
7. Alexandria Anderson (185-G/F-86) of Catz - 20 points and 5 rebounds
8. Earlysia Marchbanks (180-SF) of Kerava - 19 points and 10 rebounds
9. Linda-Lotta Lehtoranta (175-G-91) of PeKa - 20 points
10. Phebe Smith (183-F) of HyPo - 13 points and 15 rebounds

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
