We bring you last week's top performances from Finns who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.

Petteri Koponen
Petteri Koponen
#1. This week's number one is an international point guard Petteri Koponen (194-88, currently plays in Euroleague), who plays in Russia. He could not help Khimky (13-10) in their last game. Despite Koponen's good performance the fifth-placed Khimky lost 82-86 at home to the lower-ranked (#6) Caja Laboral in the group F of Euroleague. He recorded 12 points in 27 minutes on the court. Koponen's team will play only one more game in the Euroleague Top 16. And that game will be critical. This year Koponen averages: 6.6ppg, 1.9apg, 2FGP: 51.0%, 3FGP: 45.5%(20-44) and FT: 95.7%(22-23) in the 20 games he played so far. He is currently a member of the Finnish senior national team.

Gerald Lee
Gerald Lee
#2. Second place goes to an international center Gerald Lee (208-87, college: ODU, currently plays in Montenegro). Lee led Buducnost to a victory over the second-ranked Mornar Bar (1-1) crushing them 92-50 in the Montenegrin 1A last Wednesday. He was MVP of the game. Lee recorded 21 points and grabbed 5 rebounds; quite an impressive performance considering it's only his third season in pro basketball. It was the game of the round between two top 3 ranked teams in group S-League. KK Buducnost Voli Podgorica (7-1) is placed first. It was his team's sixth consecutive victory in a row. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. Lee has relatively good stats this year: 12.5ppg, 3.5rpg, 2FGP: 62.5%(10-16) and FT: 83.3%. He is a naturalized American. Lee is in the roster of the Finnish senior national team. Strangely he has never played in Finland.

Teemu Rannikko
Teemu Rannikko
#3. The Finnish player who performed third best last week abroad was an experienced international point guard Teemu Rannikko (189-80, currently plays in Slovenia), who plays in the Slovenian Telemach League. Rannikko was not able to help Un.Olimpija (2-1) in their last game. Despite his good performance Un.Olimpija (#6) lost 78-85 on their home court in Ljubljana to the leading Maribor Messer in the Places 1-6 group. Rannikko scored 12 points and added 6 assists in 30 minutes. But the season just started, so everything may happen. This year Rannikko's overall stats are: 9.5ppg, 3.5apg, 2FGP: 33.3%, 3FGP: 33.3% and FT: 91.7% in the two games. He is also a member of the Finnish senior national team.

Emir Sulejmanovic
Emir Sulejmanovic
#4. Power forward Emir Sulejmanovic (204-95, currently plays in Slovenia) is a teammate of previously mentioned Teemu Rannikko. But that was another game of his team in Slovenian Telemach League which we would like to mention. Sulejmanovic managed to help Union Olimpija Ljubljana to win against the third-ranked Helios (13-9) 77-63. He scored only 4 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. It was his first game for Un.Olimpija this season. His team is placed sixth in Places 1-6 group. Sulejmanovic has a dual citizenship: Bosnia and Herzegovina and Finnish. He used to play for the Finnish U16 national team back in 2011.

Sasu Salin
Sasu Salin
#5. International guard Sasu Salin (192-91, currently plays in Slovenia) is a teammate of previously mentioned Teemu Rannikko. He played also in the last Slovenian Telemach League game facing Emir Sulejmanovic (above) in the other team. Salin contributed to Un.Olimpija's victory against the third-ranked Helios (13-9) 77-63. He scored only 2 points and added 3 assists in 18 minutes. This year Salin's total stats are: 1.0ppg and 1.5apg in the two games. He plays currently for the Finnish national team.

Roope Ahonen
Roope Ahonen
#6. Guard Roope Ahonen (186-90, agency: FCM, currently plays in Sweden) was not able to secure a victory for Solna Vikings (22-16) in their game against Sodertalje Kings (27-10) in the Swedish Basketligan. Ahonen scored 8 points, grabbed 4 rebounds and dished 6 assists. Solna Vikings was crushed 98-74 on the road by the higher-ranked Sodertalje Kings (#3). This season Ahonen has relatively solid stats: 10.3ppg, 1.6rpg and 4.0apg. He is an international player who is currently on the senior Finnish National Team roster.

Ville Kaunisto
Ville Kaunisto
#7. International forward Ville Kaunisto (205-82, currently plays in France) contributed to a 2-point Blois' victory against the closely-ranked Cognac (16-10) 88-86 in the French NM1 (third division) in Tuesday night's game. Kaunisto scored 14 points, grabbed 7 rebounds and dished 3 assists in 40 minutes. ADA Blois Basket (16-9) is placed fourth in the NM1. It was his team's seventh consecutive victory in a row. Kaunisto is ranked second on the list of the top scorers in the league and also on the list of best rebounders (first place). He has individually a very good year with high stats. Kaunisto averages: 17.4ppg, 11.2rpg and 1.8apg in the 19 games. He is also Finnish national team player.

Shawn Huff
Shawn Huff
#8. Small forward Shawn Huff (198-84, college: Valparaiso, currently plays in Italy) couldn't help Upea CdO (10-13) in their game against C.de Latte BRE (14-8) in the Italian Lega2 (second division). Huff scored 6 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. Upea CdO was crushed 109-87 in Brescia by the higher-ranked C.de Latte BRE (#4). This season Huff has very high stats. He averages: 15.7ppg, 5.3rpg and 2.3spg. Huff plays currently for the Finnish national team.

Tuukka Kotti
Tuukka Kotti
#9. International power forward Tuukka Kotti (205-81, college: Providence, currently plays in Italy) couldn't help Vanoli Cremona (10-15) in their game against Umana Venezia (13-12) in the Italian SerieA. He cannot count Monday's game as one of the best ones. Kotti recorded only 1 points in 15 minutes. Vanoli Cremona lost 74-80 in Venezia to the higher-ranked (#8) Umana. Kotti has averaged so far 5.3ppg and 5.1rpg in the 23 games. He is also in the roster of the Finnish national team.
