Henna
Salomaa
HoNsU - FoA 61-73 (0-2)

The game was mostly controlled by Forssan Alku. HoNsU managed to win fourth quarter 13-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. International guard Henna Salomaa (175-89, college: Oakland) scored 19 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American point guard Sarah Miles (170-89, college: W.Virginia) chipped in 18 points and 5 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) during the contest. Four Forssan Alku players scored in double figures. Power forward Titta-Riina Lepisto (183-90) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds and the former international forward Minna Sten (189-87) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 rebounds. HoNsU's coach Tuomas Oja rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.

Huima - PeKa 63-66 (0-2)

The guests were already 12 points ahead at halftime and as many as 14 after three quarters before a 26-15 last quarter charge of Aanekosken cut the lead to 66-63 at the end of the game. International guard Linda-Lotta Lehtoranta (175-91) notched 21 points to lead the effort and American guard Miriam McKenzie (177-90, college: Loyola, MD) supported her with 11 points and 7 rebounds. Even a double-double of 21 points and 11 rebounds by American swingman Jasmin Holliday (182-90, college: Oregon) did not help to save the game for Aanekosken. Her fellow American import center Kenya Robinson (182-70, college: New Orleans) added 18 points and 5 rebounds for the hosts.

TuRi - Catz 49-68 (0-2)

The game was mostly controlled by Catz Lappeenranta. TuRi was better in third quarter 12-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding TuRi to just 6 points in first quarter. Catz Lappeenranta forced 27 TuRi turnovers. Swingman Lotta Aaltonen (179-85, college: Coker) orchestrated the victory by scoring 14 points and 8 rebounds. American Chandrea Jones (175-87, college: Syracuse, agency: LBM Management) contributed with 15 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Four Catz Lappeenranta players scored in double figures. American forward Callan Taylor (182-90, college: Sacred Heart) replied with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds and Canadian guard Brittany Hedderson (175-90, college: Buffalo) added 7 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for TuRi.
