The games at this stage are more interesting as they can be crucial for the final standings in Regular Season. Despite we already know who is stronger and who is weaker, there may be still last minute susprises and upsets.

The most important game in the last round took place in Jyvaskyla between third ranked Forssan Alku (17-10) and sixth ranked HoNsU (15-11) on Sunday night. Forssan Alku was defeated by HoNsU in a tough game on the road 52-61. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Forssan Alku. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 20-10. But Forssan Alku won second period 19-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The former international forward Minna Sten (189-87) orchestrated the victory by scoring 16 points and 8 rebounds. American point guard Nia Jackson (170-89, college: Oregon, agency: Gamble Sports Management) contributed with 12 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. The former international power forward Laura Saarinen (187-92) replied with 9 points and 13 rebounds for Forssan Alku. Forssan Alku's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. HoNsU moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Honka. Forssan Alku at the other side keeps the third position with ten games lost. HoNsU is looking forward to face bottom-ranked HyPo (#11) in Hyvinkaa in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Forssan Alku will play at home against the league's second-placed Peli-Karhut (#2) in Kotka and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
SM-sarja top team - Catz Lappeenranta (24-2) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat fifth ranked Torpan Pojat (15-12) in Helsinki 68-57. Worth to mention a quality performance of Russian power forward Jelena Reshetko (184-86) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points and 15 rebounds and Alexandria Anderson who added 14 points and 9 rebounds during the contest.
