The teams have now bigger motivation at this stage of Regular Season. Every game can be crucial and decide about teams' position at the end of Regular Season.

The game between Top Four teams took place in Forssa. 3rd placed host Forssan Alku (17-11) lost to second ranked Peli-Karhut (23-4) 97-90. They made 18-of-19 free shots (94.7 percent) during the game. Peli-Karhut forced 21 Forssan Alku turnovers. American swingman Korinne Campbell (182-88, college: W.Virginia) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 16 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) for the winners and international guard Linda-Lotta Lehtoranta (175-91) chipped in 29 points. The best for the losing side was international guard Henna Salomaa (175-89, college: Oakland) with 29 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Peli-Karhut have an impressive series of twelve victories in a row. They maintain second place with 23-4 record having just two points less than leader Catz. Forssan Alku at the other side keeps the third position with 11 games lost. Peli-Karhut are looking forward to face bottom-ranked HyPo (#11) in Hyvinkaa in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Forssan Alku will play on the road against Honka (#5) in Espoo and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
SM-sarja top team - Catz Lappeenranta (25-2) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed tenth ranked BC Nokia (4-24) 108-65. Russian power forward Jelena Reshetko (184-86) nailed 18 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals for the winning side and Alexandria Anderson accounted for 17 points and 8 rebounds. Center Anniina Aijanen (189-95) came up with 11 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for BC Nokia in the defeat. The victory was the thirteenth consecutive win for Catz Lappeenranta. Defending champion maintains first place with 25-2 record. BC Nokia lost their fifth game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the tenth position with 24 games lost. Catz Lappeenranta will play against Kerava Energia Team (#8) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. BC Nokia will play against Torpan Pojat in Helsinki and hopes to get back on the winning track.
The game in Kerava was also quite interesting. 7th ranked Aanekosken (14-13) played at the court of eighth ranked Kerava Energia Team (9-18). Kerava Energia Team defeated Aanekosken 86-75 on Saturday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Aanekosken. The best player for the winners was Earlysia Marchbanks who had a double-double by scoring 18 points, 16 rebounds and 5 assists. Kerava Energia Team's coach Pyry Pulkkinen used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was Swayze Black who recorded a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds. Kerava Energia Team maintains eighth place with 9-18 record. Loser Aanekosken keeps the seventh position with 13 games lost. Kerava Energia Team will meet at home league's leader Catz Lappeenranta in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Aanekosken will play against HoNsU (#4) in Jyvaskyla and hope to secure a win.
Eleventh-ranked HyPo (3-24) gave a tough game to fourth ranked HoNsU (16-11) in Hyvinkaa. The visitors from Jyvaskyla managed to secure only one-point victory 69-68. However their fans expected much easier game. It was a good game for Minna Sten who saved her team from a defeat with 21 points, 7 rebounds and 9 blocks. HoNsU maintains fourth place with 16-11 record, which they share with Honka. Newly promoted HyPo stay dead last with 24 lost games. HoNsU's next round opponent will be Aanekosken (#7) in Aanekoski. HyPo will play on the road against the league's second-placed Peli-Karhut (#2) in Kotka.
Ninth-ranked TuRi (8-20) gave a tough game to fifth ranked Honka (16-11) in Turku on Saturday. The visitors from Espoo managed to secure only two-point victory 72-70. However their fans expected much easier game. Honka moved-up to fourth place, which they share with HoNsU. TuRi at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the ninth position with 20 games lost. Honka will face higher ranked Forssan Alku (#3) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. TuRi will play against Forssan Alku (#3).

The most impressive stats of the last round was 24 points, 8 assists and 5 steals by Rosetta Adzasu of Kerava.


HyPo - HoNsU 68-69

Eleventh-ranked HyPo (3-24) gave a tough game to fourth ranked HoNsU (16-11) in Hyvinkaa. The visitors from Jyvaskyla managed to secure only one-point victory 69-68. However their fans expected much easier game. HyPo was ahead by 4 points after three quarters before a 23-18 charge of HoNsU, which allowed them to win the game. They dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to HyPo's 36. Strangely HyPo outrebounded HoNsU 46-28 including 32 on the defensive glass. They brought some defensive toughness making 10 blocks. It was a good game for the former international forward Minna Sten (189-87) who saved her team from a defeat with 21 points, 7 rebounds and 9 blocks. Power forward Titta-Riina Lepisto (183-90) contributed with 14 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. U.S. Virgin Islands-American swingman Natalie Day (182-90, college: Portland) answered with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 17 rebounds and American forward Phebe Smith (183, college: Columbus St., agency: Gamble Sports Management) added 17 points and 15 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) in the effort for HyPo. HoNsU maintains fourth place with 16-11 record, which they share with Honka. Newly promoted HyPo stay dead last with 24 lost games. HoNsU's next round opponent will be Aanekosken (#7) in Aanekoski. HyPo will play on the road against the league's second-placed Peli-Karhut (#2) in Kotka.

SM-sarja top team - Catz Lappeenranta (25-2) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed tenth ranked BC Nokia (4-24) 108-65. The game without a history. Catz Lappeenranta led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to BC Nokia's 32. Catz Lappeenranta forced 29 BC Nokia turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by BC Nokia's players. Russian power forward Jelena Reshetko (184-86) nailed 18 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals for the winning side and American swingman Alexandria Anderson (185-86, college: Chattanooga, agency: Regeneracom Sports) accounted for 17 points and 8 rebounds.
