French U18 National Team split their starting games at the Troyes international friendly tournament. They fired past England 85:55 in the opener. The teams stayed close throughout the first half. France recorded a 23:18 lead after ten minutes. The hosts boosted the gap to 6 points at the interval 43:37. However Les Bleus increased the tempo in the third term and England could not match. France cleared off to an 18-point lead at the final intermission. They unloaded 22 points in the fourth frame to seal the win. Marine Johannes (177-G-95) netted 22 points, while Louise Dambach (175-SG-96) added 20 points for France. Janice Monakana (183-F-95) answered with 20 points and 7 rebounds for England. Megan Lewis (180-G-95) chipped in 8 points in the loss.
Next France took on Poland. It was a tough battle from start to finish. Poland dropped 25 points in the opening frame to gain a 7-point lead. They stretched the gap in the second period. Poland enjoyed a 38:27 halftime advantage. But France answered with a stifling defence in the second half. They held the visitors to 6 points in the third term cutting the deficit at 7-point mark. Marie Mane (183-F-95) tied things up at 53 with 46 seconds remaining in regulation. Angelika Stankiewicz (170-SG-95) sank a free throw with two seconds left to seal the victory for Poland. Naczk had 14 points for Poland. Jowita Ossowska (180-SF-96) had 10 points for the winners. Marie Milapie (191-C-96) answered with 14 points for France. Marie Mane had 11 points in the defeat.

Union Lyon Basket Feminin (LFB) added to their roster 30-year old French international center Sandrine Gruda (193-84kg-87, agency: 1andBox Sports Agency). She played last summer at Los Angeles Sparks (WNBA). Gruda managed to play in three leagues in two countries last year. But in 8 WNBA games she recorded just 1.0ppg.
