28-year old point guard Corin Henry (178-PG-88, agency: Octagon Europe) had a great game in the last round for Evreux and receives a Eurobasket.com ProB Player of the Week award for round 29. He had the game-high 20 points adding seven rebounds and five assists for Evreux in his team's victory, helping them to beat Denain (#11, 14-15) 86-72. Thanks to this victory Evreux moved-up to the 8th position in French ProB. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Evreux will need more victories to improve their 16-13 record. In the team's last game Henry had a remarkable 57.1% from 2-point range. He turned to be Evreux's top player in his first season with the team. Tarleton State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Henry is in league's top in points (6th best: 16.8ppg), assists (7th best: 5.4apg) and averages solid 2.5spg and 51.4% FGP.
Second best performed player last round was Jonathan Fairell (201-F-93, agency: Duran International) of Rouen. He is American-Bahamas forward in his first season at Rouen. In the last game Fairell recorded impressive double-double of 25 points and 12 rebounds. Bad luck as Rouen lost that game 66-78 to the higher-ranked Nantes (14-15). The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. Rouen dropped in the standings to 12th position. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 14-15 record. Fairell is a newcomer at Rouen and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 14.9ppg (#8). He also registered 7.0 boards per game.
Third place about best performers goes to forward Jean-Victor Traore (204-PF-85) of Lille (#6). Traore showcased his all-around game by recording 17 points, seven rebounds and eleven assists (!!!) in the last round. Despite Traore's great performance Lille lost 64-76 to the lower-ranked Boulogne (#15, 11-18). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Lille needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 16 victories and 13 lost games. Traore has a great season in France. After 29 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 7.6rpg (6th best). Jean-Victor Traore has also French passport and can play in the league with a status of domestic player.
Other top performing players last week: 4. Dinma Odiakosa (203-C/F-85) of Le Havre - 22 points and 12 rebounds 5. Dustin Ware (183-PG-90) of Vichy Clermont - 19 points, 4 rebounds and 8 assists 6. Youssou Ndoye (213-C-91) of Bourg - 21 points, 11 rebounds and 2 assists 7. Jaraun Burrows (203-F-85) of Provence Basket - 16 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists 8. The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
