Evreux claimed a dramatic road win over Le Portel to force the decisive third game in the series. Le Portel was ahead by 5 points after three quarters before a 29-23 charge of ALM Evreux, which allowed them to win the game. They made 20-of-21 charity shots (95.2 percent) during the game. Steeve Ho You Fat (203-88) notched 26 points (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) to lead the effort and American forward Brandon Hunter (201-80, college: Ohio) supported him with 16 points (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Even 11 points and 9 assists by American point guard Ronnie Taylor (188-81, college: NC-Greensboro, agency: Court Side) did not help to save the game for Le Portel. Jamaican-American Sherman Gay (201-82, college: Loyola Mary) added 17 points (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) for the hosts. Five ALM Evreux and four Le Portel players scored in double figures. Le Portel's coach Eric Girard rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.

Antibes cruised past Boulogne at home court to secure the first win in the series. The game was mostly controlled by Olympique Antibes. SO Maritime Boulogne managed to win third quarter 24-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded SO Maritime Boulogne 38-22 including a 24-12 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American forward Tim Blue (205-84, college: Middle Tenn.St.) who had a double-double by scoring 28 points and 10 rebounds. The other American import swingman Anthony Hilliard (193-86, college: Elizabeth City) chipped in 24 points. Center Mouhammadou Jaiteh (206-94, agency: Fusion Sports) produced 19 points (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) and Guinean-Ivorian swingman Mamadi Diane (196-86, college: Virginia, agency: Fusion Sports) added 16 points respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
