Kyle Nelson
American Kyle Nelson (203-F-89, agency: N.E.T.) had a great game in the last round for Rustavi and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 19.
The 23-year old forward had a double-double of 27 points and twelve rebounds, while his team beat Armia (#3, 13-4) 79-64. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Rustavi maintains the 4th position in Georgian Superleague. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Rustavi will need more victories to improve their 13-5 record. Nelson turned to be Rustavi's top player in his first season with the team. Augustana College, IL graduate has very impressive stats this year. Nelson is in league's top in points (6th best: 17.2ppg), rebounds (6th best: 9.3rpg) and averages solid 59.4% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 27-year old Montenegrin center Stevan Milosevic (211-C-85, agency: Interperformances) of second-ranked Olimpi. Milosevic impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 15 points and 19 rebounds. Bad luck as Olimpi lost that game 63-70 to slightly higher-ranked MIA Academy (#1, 15-2). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Olimpi still maintains its place in the top 2 of the standings, even despite this loss. It was just his team's 3rd loss this season, while they won 14 other games. Milosevic is a newcomer at Olimpi and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was Serbian Bosko Stojakovic (196-G-84) of Sokhumi (#7). Stojakovic showcased his all-around game by recording 20 points, twelve rebounds (!!!) and six assists in the last round. He was a key player of Sokhumi, leading his team to a 74-73 win against slightly higher-ranked Dinamo Tbilisi (#6, 10-7). The chances of Sokhumi ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 10 games, recording just seven victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Stojakovic could help Sokhumi to bring them higher in the standings. Stojakovic has a very solid season. In 6 games in Georgia he scored 19.0ppg. He also has 7.0rpg, 5.5apg and and 3PT: 43.3%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Benjamin Raymond (198-G/F-87) of MIA Academy - 24 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists
5. Lasha Keshelava (200-F-81) of Batumi - 26 points and 10 rebounds
6. Lamar Karim (178-PG-83) of Dinamo Tbilisi - 21 points, 3 rebounds and 7 assists
7. Talba Toudjani (201-F-80) of Rustavi - 18 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists
8. Kirk Archibeque (205-C-84) of MIA Academy - 22 points, 11 rebounds and 2 assists
9. Irakli Kobidze (208-C-90) of TSU Tbilisi - 17 points and 11 rebounds
10. Tato Chachibaia (201-F-90) of STU Tbilisi - 17 points, 10 rebounds and 3 assists

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
