MIA shot 62.3 percent from the field. MIA outrebounded Kutaisi 29-18 including 21 on the defensive glass. It was a great shooting night for MIA especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.9 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. It was a great evening for American point guard Deonta Vaughn (185-86, college: Cincinnati) who led his team to a victory scoring 20 points and 6 rebounds. His fellow American import swingman Benjamin Raymond (198-87, college: Xavier, agency: KMG Sports Management) helped adding 16 points and 6 assists (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!). Four MIA players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was forward Giorgi Barbakadze (203-91) with 19 points and 5 steals and guard Buba Kvimsadze (195-82) scored 7 points and 11 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.

It was a good game for American guard Darren Moore (190-89, college: Cal-Irvine) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds. Forward Levan Fatsatsia (198-88) contributed with 16 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. International Besik Lezhava (192-86) answered with 19 points and 7 rebounds and the former international point guard Giorgi Gamqrelidze (183-86, agency: FCM) added 9 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists in the effort for Armia. Rustavi adds Cooper to their roster, ex KW Titans - 12 hours ago
BC Rustavi 1991 (Superleague) added to their roster American forward Paul Cooper (203-119kg, college: Arkansas Tech). He played last season at KW Titans in Canadian NBL, but was released by the team in Mar.'17. In 24 NBL Canada games he recorded 8.3ppg, 6.1rpg and 1.1apg. Part of previous (2016) summer Cooper spent at Atletico Tabare in Uruguayan Ascenso where in 5 games he averaged 12.8ppg, 11.0rpg, 1.0spg and 1.0bpg in 2016 season. BC Rustavi 1991 (Superleague) signed 23-year old American guard Brian Bernardi (188-88kg-94, college: Hofstra, agency: Mansfield and Associates). He already started the season at NH Ostrava in NBL league in Czech Republic. In three games he had 8.0ppg, 2.0rpg and 1.3apg this season. Bernardi just graduated from Hofstra University and it is his first season as a pro. He played in the final of CAA Tournament in 2016.
