Poland claimed the first win at the Trentino Cup international tournament. They knocked down Georgia for 1-1 record. Six Polish players scored in double digits for the winners. Adam Waczynski (199-SF-89) and Przemyslaw Zamojski (193-G/F-86, agency: Alti Sport, college: Independence CC) produced 14 points each for Poland. Georgia fell at 0-2 record after the loss.
The teams got to a flying start. They teamed up for 50 points in the first quarter. The scoreboard read 25:25 after ten minutes. Poland adjusted defensively in the second term. They held Georgia to 10 points to gain a 7-point lead at halftime 42:35. Poland erupted for 25 points in the third term to boost the lead at 17-point mark. Georgia narrowed the deficit in the fourth period but could not avoid the defeat. Michal Ignerski (207-F-80, agency: Stanley International, college: Mississippi St.) chipped in 13 points in the victory. Georgi Tsintsadze (192-PG-86) answered with 22 points for Georgia. Viktor Sanikidze (203-F-86) had 20 points in the loss.

Umana Reyer Venezia (Serie A) re-signed 31-year old Georgian international point guard Marquez Haynes (191-84kg-86, college: Texas Arlington). He has a double citizenship as he also holds American passport. Haynes played there last season. In 46 Serie A games he recorded 11.9ppg, 2.2rpg and 3.2apg. MoraBanc Andorra (Liga Endesa) confirmed in their roster 23-year old Georgian international power forward Beka Burjanadze (201-118kg-94). He played there last season. In 29 Liga Endesa games he had 10.3ppg, 4.2rpg and 1.2apg. The previous (15-16) season Burjanadze played at Leyma Basquet (LEB Gold) where in 40 games he recorded very impressive stats: 16.4ppg, 6.9rpg and 1.2apg. He helped them to make it to the semifinals. Amistad Sucre (Libobasquet) signed 27-year old American center John Florveus (211-109kg-90, college: Georgia, agency: Elevate Agency). He played last season at Cactus Tbilisi in Georgian Superleague.
