Kyle Nelson
Serzhi Aselaini put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for TSU Tbilisi and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 13.
The -year old had a double-double of 32 points and twenty one rebounds, while his team beat STU Tbilisi (#11, 0-12), the league's bottom-ranked team 88-74. TSU Tbilisi maintains the 7th position in Georgian Superleague. TSU Tbilisi is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 5-7 record. Aselaini turned to be TSU Tbilisi's top player in his first season with the team. Aselaini has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in rebounds (5th best: 10.5rpg).

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 23-year old American forward Kyle Nelson (203-F-89, agency: N.E.T.) of second-ranked Rustavi. Nelson impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 25 points and 10 rebounds. Of course he lead Rustavi to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Samedicino (#10, 1-11) 126-74. This victory allowed Rustavi to move up to second position in the standings. His team lost just two games this season, while they won 10 matches. Nelson is a newcomer at Rustavi and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 15.8ppg (#6). He also registered 8.4 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was another Rustavi's star - American Nate Bowie (183-G-86). Bowie showcased his all-around game by recording 26 points, six rebounds and eight assists in the last round. He was another key player of Rustavi, helping his team with a 126-74 easy win against the lower-ranked Samedicino (#10, 1-11). Rustavi is closer and closer to the top of the standings. They will still need more victories. But 10-2 record is not that bad... Bowie has a great season in Georgia. After 12 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 21.2ppg (2nd best) and assists with 4.5apg (8th best). He also has 3.6spg, FGP: 57.6% and 3PT: 52.2%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Richard Matiashvili (207-C-89) of Kutaisi - 27 points, 10 rebounds and 2 assists
5. Sergo Atvashovili (223-C-85) of Sokhumi - 20 points and 14 rebounds
6. David Gugava (203-C-90) of Rustavi - 14 points and 10 rebounds
7. Givi Bakradze (185-PG-91) of TSU Tbilisi - 6 points, 7 rebounds and 10 assists
8. Lamar Karim (178-PG-83) of Dinamo Tbilisi - 11 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists
9. Kirk Archibeque (205-C-84) of MIA Academy - 13 points and 10 rebounds
10. Omar Wattad (195-G-88) of Rustavi - 20 points, 2 rebounds and 3 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
