Is it more an advantage or disadvantage playing in front of so little fans in Duesseldorf? Some D-League games have less fans.

One needs to adjust to an environment. I am looking forward to our fans on Sunday.

You and Zamal Nixon had combined three points in the first quarter. It seems you guys have to score to be successful.

Yes we do. Zamal and I came out too passive in the first quarter. They focused on us. We have to come out more aggressive.

NBC was going more to the hole in the first quarter. Was that part of the game plan?

Yes it was. Their big guys killed us the last guys so we were trying to focus on getting them into foul trouble. We wanted to get more into transition also.

Corneilus Adler scored some pretty and tough buckets in the penetration. Does this strength get appreciated by his teammates?

Yes it does. He is more of a knock down shooter and he knows opponents try to close out on him. He has been working on his penetration and it has helped us in games.

What was key for the Duesseldorf Baskets 18-4 run in the second quarter?

They dominated us. Everyone was hitting. We didnt think that their role players would make that many shots.

Then it was like night and day as NBC struck back going on a 23-6 run to go into halftime. What was key to get back into the game?

We tried to speed them up and played more press. We have to keep doing this in game two to be effective.

Juan Reile was the NBC energizer in this run. Is he the perfect role player?

Yes he is. He is a great defensive player. This is agreat series for him, because there are many athletic players. I hope that he gets more minutes and that he brings the same energy.

How happy were you not having to guard a Kendall Chones?

He is a good friend of mine. He is one of the strongest players in the league and I am happy I dont have to guard him, because I dont want any bruised ribs.

Corneilius Adler had 17 points and seven rebounds in the first half. Was that the best of half you have seen from him?

I think it was the best I have seen him play in a big game. He stepped up to the plate and delivered.

In the third quarter there was fewer points. Was defesne more on the menu?

I think it was. Both teams played more of a half court game. Both teams stepped up on defense.

Did you know that your buzzer beater would go in when you released it?

I actually told Dorian Mcdaniel right before I shot that I would make the last shot. I was in the flow.

Was the technical foul at the end what turned the game in favor of Duesseldorf?

That technical killed us. We have to focus on us and block out the refs in game two and just adjust better in those situations.

NBC won the rebounds 35-33. That is something positive going into game two?

We rebounded a lot better. We were down by 22 and came back and were in a position to win. I need to make big shots and limit turnovers in game two.

To what player would you compare Michigan guard Trey Burke to?

I would compare him to Chauncey Billups. He is the best guard in the NCAA and should come out.

What was the last DVD movie that you saw?

Savages.

Thanks Ahmad for the chat.
