The Regular Season in BBL just ended.

Leader Brose Bask. delivered the twentieth sixth win on Saturday night. This time they beat 8th ranked s Oliver Baskets (17-17) 70-52 in Wuerzburg. The game without a history. Brose Bask. led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Brose Bask. forced 22 s Oliver Baskets turnovers. 25 personal fouls committed by s Oliver Baskets helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Slovenian Bostjan Nachbar (207-80) fired 17 points for the winners. American point guard Alex Renfroe (191-86, college: Belmont) chipped in 8 points and 9 rebounds. American Dwayne Anderson (198-86, college: Villanova) produced 9 points and 11 rebounds for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Defending champion maintains first position with 26-7 record. s Oliver Baskets at the other side dropped to the ninth place with 17 games lost.
Telekom Baskets (18-16) survived in overtime against Bayern Muenchen (21-13) by five points 103-98. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Bayern Muenchen. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Jared Jordan (188-84, college: Marist) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 assists. David McCray contributed with 21 points for the winners. American point guard Tyrese Rice (185-87, college: Boston Coll., agency: Priority Sports) replied with 21 points (made all of his thirteen free throws !!!) for Bayern Muenchen. Bayern Muenchen's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Telekom Baskets moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Phoenix Hagen. Bayern Muenchen at the other side keeps the fourth position with 13 games lost.
Thirteenth-ranked BBC Bayreuth (14-20) made lots of trouble for fifth ranked ALBA Berlin (20-14) on Saturday. ALBA Berlin managed to secure only one-point victory 75-74. However their fans expected much easier game. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of BBC Bayreuth. Heiko Schaffartzik scored 15 points and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners. At the losing side Bryan Bailey responded with 18 points and 7 assists. BBC Bayreuth's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. ALBA Berlin maintains fifth position with 20-14 record, which they share with Art.Dragons. Loser BBC Bayreuth dropped to the twelfth place with 20 games lost. They share the position with NY Phantoms and Fraport SKY.
We should mention about the upset which took place in Braunschweig, where 11th ranked Eisbaeren Bremerhaven (15-19) was outleveled in a road game by fourteenth ranked New Yorker Phantoms (14-20) 104-75. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Eisbaeren Bremerhaven. Lubos Barton notched a double-double by scoring 27 points and 12 rebounds to lead the effort. Eisbaeren Bremerhaven's coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. New Yorker Phantoms moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Fraport SKY and Bayreuth. Eisbaeren Bremerhaven at the other side keeps the eleventh position with 19 games lost.

Rest of the games of round 34 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
TBB Trier were defeated by Art.Dragons in Quakenbrueck 78-71. Fraport SKY beat Neckar L'burg at home 77-72. MBC lost to Phoenix Hagen on the opponent's court 88-99. Ratiopharm managed to outperform Walter Tigers in a home game 95-84.

Art.Dragons - TBB Trier 78-71

There was no surprise in Quakenbrueck where 12th ranked TBB Trier (15-19) was defeated by sixth ranked Artland Dragons (20-14) 78-71. TBB Trier was ahead by 1 point after three quarters before a 21-13 charge of Artland Dragons, which allowed them to win the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. The game was dominated by American players. Bryce Taylor (196-86) notched 16 points and 4 assists to lead the effort and forward Bradley Buckman (203-84, college: Texas) supported him with 11 points and 8 rebounds.
