Igor
Starcevic
It is always a delight to see how teams start their planning early for the next season showing consistency as PRO B team Licher baskets Baeren made a step to the future announcing that likeable head coach Igor Starcevic will remain for two more seasons. Starcevic has been on board in Lich since 2010 and has shown in his early coaching career that he has knowledge and the needed know how to lead the team as he has reached the playoffs twice in his three years. "We have developed with Igor in the last three years and want to go the way together in the next two seasons. It is also important that the players are happy with his work even if his way his direct at times. Many players have stated that they have developed their game through him and that was a very important fact to extend his contract. We want to continue to go this way by making players better in the next years. We are looking forward to the continued working relationship", explained Lich manager Dirk Schafer. Starcevic who feels very at home in Hessen is happy about staying. "I am happy that I will continue to get their trust despite having a difficult phase last season and at the start of this season. I like working for this club, because everyone works with passion and the support is great. The fans support us a lot. Lich was my first choice and I am thankful that I can continue to work here for the next two years", explained Igor Starcevic.
