Jack Eggleston (203-PF-88, college: Pennsylvania) is a 24 year old 203cm power forward from Noblesville, Indiana that is playing his second year as a professional for the Bayer Giants Leverkusen in the German Pro B. He played at Pennsylvania (NCAA) from 2007-2011. He played a total of 125 NCAA games. In his senior year he played 28 games: 13.2ppg, 8.0rpg, 2.1apg, FGP: 50.4%, 3PT: 45.1%, FT: 73.5%. Last season for Leverkusen he played 23 games: 14.0ppg, 6.0rpg, 2.1apg, FGP: 49.5%, 3PT: 37.1%, FT: 71.2%. He spoke to eurobasket after the sweep of Weissenhorn.

Congrats on the 79-76 win against Weissenhorn and another do or die win. The team is now 4-0 this season in do or die games. Do you slowly feel invincible in these type of games?

Haha I don't know about invincible, but we are definitely feeling confident right now. We've shown that we can go out and compete with anybody in the league on our home court or on the road.

Basketball Leverkusen must be going crazy. Where do you rate the importance of this game in your career with big wins? You helped Leverkusen move up a league.

I would say this is the biggest win I've had since high school. To be able to give this club an opportunity to move up to the Pro A is very gratifying for me, especially after our struggles here last year.

Weissenhorn had the 52-40 lead at halftime. What was giving Leverkusen the biggest problems in the first 20 minutes?

In the first half, I thought our energy was low. I missed some very good looks around the rim, and Daniel Theis shot the lights out. At halftime we were able to regroup a bit and find the intensity we needed to mount a comeback.

What adjustments did Leverkusein make in the third quarter scoring 24 points?

We really settled down and were patient on offense. In the first half, we were rushed and took too many quick threes. In the third quarter, we got much better shots and knocked them down.

Leverkusen held Weissenhorn too only seven points in the fourth quarter and made a big rally winning. You and Josh Parker made big shots, but Matthias Gooddek also nailed an important three pointer. Describe the amazing comeback?

It was really a great team effort. Matthias is such a pro that you know he's going to hit a big shot no matter what else has happened up to that point. Also, our defense came up huge to hold them to just seven points in the fourth quarter.

Was this one of the best games of Josh Parker this season? I seldom saw him fill up teh stat sheet so high including six steals?

What can you say about Josh at this point in the year? He has absolutely carried us and came up with big play after big play when we needed it most. I'm so proud of the way he's played this year. If anybody other than Josh is named MVP, it'll be a travesty.

What was your impression of Daniel Theis who had 27 points and 14 rebounds. What was it like defending the athletic German?

We played against Theis last year when he was with Braunschweig and earlier in this season in Weissenhorn, so we knew what to expect from him. He's obviously a very talented player and he shot the ball very well in the first half. I thought we did a better job containing him down the stretch.

How excited are you about playing in the final against Schwelm? What kind of series can we await?

Since very early on in the year our fans have been excited about a possible final against Schwelm. With how close we are to them geographically, I know they will have a lot of supporters in our gym and we in theirs. The series will be a very competitive one for sure.

Will we see anymore do or die games in the final? What will be key to winning the PRO B title?

The final is only a two game series with the winner determined by aggregate score, so I guess you could say game 2 will be a do or die game for both teams. Our key is to continue to play the way we've been playing. If we defend well and execute offensively, I like our chances.

The New York Knicks are up 2-0. How will the series progress?

I think the Knicks will take care of business in 5 games. The Celtics just don't have the offensive weapons to match up.

What was the last DVD movie that you saw?

I just watched Melancholia.

Thanks Jack for the chat.

There were just four rounds played in Regular Season of ProA and we can clearly see which teams will fight for top positions and which will try to avoid bottom places. Round 4 most important game was a victory of MLP Academics Heidelberg over 7th ranked White Wings 65-51 on Sunday night. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of White Wings.
