There were just three rounds played in Regular Season of ProB and we can clearly see which teams will fight for top positions and which will try to avoid bottom places. The fans could enjoy quite many interesting games in the last round. The round ended with favorites losing the games and games ending by tiny margin.

Dresden edged Baunach at home 81-78. Baunach was trailing by 7 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 16-12 charge of Dresden, which allowed them to win the game. They dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Baunach's 42. They outrebounded Baunach 41-27 including 26 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for guard Philipp Lieser (194-87, college: Cent.Washington) who led his team to a victory with 22 points and 9 rebounds. American Damon Smith (200-88, college: Mary) contributed with 10 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Johannes Richter (206-93, agency: LUMANI 10.7) answered with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists for Baunach. Baunach's coach Ulf Schabacker tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Baunach will play next round against USC Leipzig trying to get back on the winning streak. Dresden will try to continue on its current victory against Weissenhorn Youngstars at home.
Spot Up Medien Baskets (2-1) recorded a loss on the court of Hertener Loewen. Visitors were defeated by Hertener Loewen 74-70. It was a great evening for American point guard Matt Reid (185-84, college: Cameron) who led his team to a victory scoring 27 points and 4 assists. Jeremy Robinson helped adding 22 points and 4 steals (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field). The best for the losing side was point guard Martin Bogdanov (183-92) with 34 points (!!!) (on 13-of-17 shooting from the field). Spot Up Medien Baskets' coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Hertener Loewen will play against Recklinghausen (#9) on the road in the next round. Spot Up Medien Baskets will play against BSW Sixers (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
A very close game took place in Oldenburg between SC Rist Wedel and Oldenburg. SC Rist Wedel (3-0) got a very close victory on the road over Oldenburg (0-3). SC Rist Wedel managed to escape with a 1-point win 76-75 on Saturday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. It was an exceptional evening for Diante Watkins who led the winners and scored 17 points and 5 assists. Kevin Smit came up with 21 points and 6 rebounds for Oldenburg in the defeat.
